Anyone had problems with the Guitar Strummer? |
|
I've had GHWT for about 3-4 months now and have noticed a problem with the official guitars strummer over the past couple of days.
Sometimes flicking it down doesn't register and sometimes it over registers (2 flicks instead of 1). There isn't any problem when flicking it up but I find it quite awkward to play that way. Anyone else have a similar problem. I fear I may have to buy GH: Metallica just to get a new guitar...unless anyone knows if 'Van Halen' is being released with a guitar? Or should I get the Rock Band 2 guitar? ------------------- ***Just coz I think King Dedede looks crap does not mean I'm a bad person!***

Metallica doesn't have a new type of guitar, and your problem with overstrums is the touchpad. Turn it off. As for the not registering downstrums, I had that problem as well. You need a new controller. I highly recommend an Xplorer. ------------------- ![]() I can not PM? Baww.

Yeah I got the Xplorer, it came free with the band bundle. Is there a wireless version of it though? I would prefer having a wireless guitar as well.

I've had problems with the WT Guitars.
Three of them actually If you want a wireless guitar Les Paul (or Aerosmith style Les Paul) is your only option. I haven't used a RB guitar myself, but I hear the RB2 ones are a VAST improved over the originals (apart from looking much more epic than the GH ones). I still here the strum bar is still a bit weird, and I suppose if your not used to it the frets would take a little while to get used to. ------------------- ![]()

The Les Paul guitar does look pretty badass, does it share the similar strum problem?
Plus £39.99 just for the guitar is a bit much, I might hold out for GH5 guitar pack, and just be a bit more gentle with it. ------------------- ***Just coz I think King Dedede looks crap does not mean I'm a bad person!***

I think I know why. Maybe when you use the guitar controller you strum too hard. When my little brother plays guitar/bass he always hits the strum bar hard. If you do, don't be so tense and bang on the strum bar. Just relax when you play. If that's not why, then I don't know, but here's a tip for people who do this.

I've had problems with my WT guitar too. someimes at the beginning of a song you'll hear the familiar "tink tink tink" like if i missed a note, but the song hasn't even started! The strum bar also screeches like CRAZY it seems like it pierces my brain... its so annoying
Also how do you turn the touch pad off? i don't use it at all i prefer finger tapping. And the original rockband guitar was AWESOME......till it started double strumming, like when you strum once it registers it as two.... so i cant use it...its officialy a dust collector

I've been experiencing this problem as well, had to switch back to my Les Paul (With the Rechargeable Battery I bought for it).
