Impressed with the Realistic Motions! |
|
This game is really cool once you get used to the balance board! It has really realistic features and actually feels like you are on a skate board pulling off some groovy tricks.
I can't stress enough how excellent the balance board controls are. The first time I played everything felt immediately smooth, but it took me awhile to get used to the sensitivity. I tampered with the sensitivity, and once I got it at the right level I was set. It's unbelievable to me how similar it feels to real skateboarding... Knowing how the balance board works, I don't see how it could possibly be any better. I even adjust my footing while I'm skating and use the bottom of my feet to flick the tail/nose of the board like I would to do a real tricks. Balancing on one foot to do a manual is good stuff too. I would say that you don't even need the Wii Remote if you have the board. I can't even describe how much fun I've been having with this thing. There are definitely some hard challenges, but it's not a game without those. It'll take awhile to get the hang of and even then you'll still bail a lot (just like real skating), but your own balance is always at fault (rather than the game) and it's really a thrill when you finally nail a cool combo. I'm so impressed at how they managed to make this so realistic! ------------------- ![]() | |
