Ea and DICE are at it again anythoughts on a storyline ?

i would think that Kate has become a runner as well as Faith so you can play as both that would be cool because they could change the way they run. For example Faith could be better at long ranged leaps over the edges of builds, whereas Kate could be faster and only get smaller jumps. that way it could mix things up a bit and also you would have to work harder to get to grips with the character.

I'm pretty sure when mirrors edge came out, they said that they were going to make it a 3-game story arc.

Hopefully it will at least be out in 2010.

I'll be watching this....the first game was brilliant, but hardly had any replay value and was way too linear. Decision making would be a good addition to the story, as well as different routes and areas and the like. Not completely sandbox, but a bit less linear.

I'd definitely want to get ME2 - I was ok with the linear story but I'd be happy with more routes and more choices as well. I do wish they would create more puzzles and rely less on the fights (or just make the game bigger and longer ) but that's just me. Oh, and real cutscenes in full rendered CG, not the strange style they used.

Yeah i didn't like the comic style cutscenes either. I mean the only time we see faith's face in HD is at the end, and at the end of the first trailer

The first person view cutscenes in the middle of chapters were awesome, more of them would definitely be welcomed.

it is suppose to be a trilogy, so this is not really shocking considering Mirror's Edge did decently well.

If Kate were playable as well, I think maybe she would be better with guns, and have some armor?

That's a good point, as Kate is a cop. I don't see her being a runner in such short time, it'd take years of practice. So i agree with that point. If she is playable her gameplay would revolve more around combat, maybe some detective work? Nah that wouldn't suit Mirrors Edge. But with his style there wouldn't be a chance for co-op, it just wouldn't work.

I think game developers need to stop with this it needs to have co-op, because by thinking that we often loose a good storyline or we get a buggy game. I recently had an idea for an online mode tho ( yes i see my controversy ) what if when playing online it was only 1 v 1 and we had a cat and mouse sort of thing so you have one runner running away with an other trying to tag them this would really test skills with freerunning.

Yeah i think mini games like that and other races would be too cool.

maybe instead of this chosen path thing we could actually have like a midnight club L.A thing where we have to find a runner to take info off to take to its destination just something to mix up the game play i think this is a game that would really benefit from a open world just because the possibilities are endless with what you could do.
