I agree. We just need someone to be updating every while. What about Aimkidd?

I would've said beast.

But whoever makes the thread would be able to edit too. So I guess having an active member making and beast editing as well would be more beneficial.

Why aimkidd may I ask?

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

I fail to see how another reference thread would be useful when most of you don't even use the one that we have *points to the Thread Listings. Why should I believe that people will actually utilize a Friend Code database as a reference tool, when they don't bother using the Thread Listings as one?

Want want want, you shouldn't request things that you don't intend to use - and from what I've seen so far, from the general populous, another reference thread isn't something that you would use.

Its convenient so every time I want to trade or battle, I don't have to memorize my code. It is also nice if you are finding somebody else's.

And I know for a fact others use this besides me. And the reason nobody uses thread listings, is because they can find the thread easily, they know an answer to a question, or they don't care for it.

A friend code database is essential because unless you are friends with a person, you don't know their code. People granted make threads for this, but they just get closed. With this, you can direct them to the correct place.

And isn't it a little redundant that you don't want these database threads, yet you allowed a Shoddy Battle one?

Therein lies my reason for opposition. Maybe three or four of the forum regulars would use it, however the majority of people would look once, then ignore it entirely and go on their merry way.

Shoddy Battle doesn't utilize Friend Codes, and people don't make individual threads - in which Friend Codes are usually included - requesting matches on Shoddy.

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

Database is worthless because you just list FCs in the pertinent threads anyway.

I should know, considering I instated one some time back in Diamond (or, at least, I had some part in it, I can't really recall).

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

Besides, people will eventually leave the forum and then sent pointless PM's being requested to battle even though they have not visited for an age.

Requesting a specific thread for AR related problems, this forum is becoming increasingly full off people asking about pokemon Platinum and the action replay.

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

Why would we want to support people who want to ruin the game the very day they got the game? They apparently know everything so why get help in the first place? There's Google.

I'd like to request an append to the Rules thread to ask people TO STOP BUMPING OLD THREADS HOLY CRAP. Some numbnuts goes ahead to bump a trading thread from October from last year. If it's not relevant, don't bump. If it's a help thread that went unanswered, what makes someone think someone will care after 5 months have gone by?

Seriously need an IQ test in forums.

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

I could make an amendment to the rules, but what classifies an "old thread"? A thread created a week ago, month ago, two months ago? It's not really something that should have to be said (I mean use some common sense here people). A lot of what's occurring are efforts to raise individual post counts, or to make themselves more known amongst the community. Besides, it's apparent that more than half of the members here don't bother to read the Forum Rules in the first place.

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

Seeing as Pokemon forums get tons of traffic, I'd say a thread that's dropped by Page 3 is starting to get dated. Something's worth bumping only if it's relevant.

A week ago with no activity, or a month ago with little activity would be the basic stuff.

It's common sense though. Am I to understand that those of you who can read don't have any common sense?

re: ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions

It is common sense but people apparently can't read the dates.

Just set a reasonable timeframe.

Also, we don't need these posts telling people what they're doing in the game. This isn't Twitter, it's spam and nobody really cares.

Agreed, unless it is asking what pokemon to use where, but maybe that should be and RMT in the battles sub-forum..Or maybe not xD

RMT are for the metagame, though. If people are asking what pokemon to use against a certain gym leader or something similar, it would be better off here.
