Instead, once inside the pokemart talk to the man in green to receive the item. The member pass is a key item, so it will be in your key item bag. (Note that in order to use the member pass you must have beaten E4 and completed the Cresselia quest first. There's no way to change your name using AR. The only way to change it is to use pokesav, but you must have access to your save file first.
