re: Persona 5? |

Oooh, imagine that-- depending on your weapon you'd have to use the remote in different fashions to summon your Persona. =D ((They could make the games entirely real-timed based off of Remote motions, but that might prove difficult for accuracy...)) And slashing the shadows on screen would also apply to this.
Or bring back the evokers and point it at your head, but then people who walk in would wonder what the hell you're doing. Eh.... it could bring about a new feel, but I still feel they'd go for Sony as their producer. Disgaea 3 still has the same crappy graphics it did when the series was on the PS2, but they went ahead and produced it for the PS3 anyway. While it doesn't make sense money wise to produce a last-gen rate game on a new system, They're probably taking consistency into account. PS2 owners are more inclined to buy a PS3, so switching consoles would anger a good many fans who believed this to be the pattern. Anyway... For what I'd like to see-- The option to play as either a boy or a girl. Your character is referred to as gender neutral for the most part (They, them, ect.) but allowed to pursue different versions of the social links, much like the choice of being friends or being lovers for the girls in P4. With a new console, I'm sure they could squeeze enough memory into a full-lengthed game to play as either one. You could also see events from either point of view.... And some of the options you can choose from will either only be open to the girl player or the boy player, similar to not being able to respond due to lack of courage, ect. I like the multiple endings... maybe they could tie in the character you were closest to and give them a few extra lines to make it feel as though they were most important, instead of not having social links affect the story line. On battle aspects.... I really liked the battles this time around, and I really liked your party's ability to help you if you'd fallen or push you out of the way...I want them to keep these no matter what. quote dougielasI think it would be stupid for them not to produce a star ocean for the PS3... Once again, the consistency issue. =( But for some reason I have my doubts on it happening. ((I was also enraged when I heard that. There's no way in hell I'm bothering with XBox and all it's problems, no matter how much I love the series. So I'd say SquareEnix has royally *bleep*ed this up.)) With all it's overheating and program issues, I really don't understand why XBox 360 is getting the good games. >_> (The producers are whores who have sold Sony out, I tell you what. ;-; ) Yes, I am bitter. Production costs aside, when many of my favorite series that used to cater to Sony exclusively are now split between systems, Of course I'm going to be mad. -------------------

If Persona 5 is on Wii a part of me will die inside, but I'll muscle through it.
If Persona 5 is on 360 I will kill everyone. Not everyone invovled with that decision, but everyone in the world. Like genocide on a mass scale. ------------------- ![]() TRISTAN ASHE

I would just let you borrow my 360 so you don't kill anybody.

quote Lady_SpardaCouldn't agree more, not that I have anything against the Persona series, I loved P2 Innocent Sin and P2 Eternal Punishment, but the last 2 entries(P3 & P4) weren't too special to me unlike to most people. I'm just really interested on a SMT IV -------------------

The only reason I woulndt want P5 next is just because we got two Personas in a row. I'd gladly take a DDS3 first

personally i hope 5 becomes either a reboot of the series or a continuation after p2. dont get me wrong i like p3 and p4 the addons to the gameplay are a nice touch but the animation and the characters have a odd look to them, i personally love the look and feel of p1 and deffinetly p2 the dark tone really set the mood for a game based on the human psche and death. if they can create soemthing like the classic game on the ps2 or even ps3 with the graphics we have these days it would be a hit.

Well P4 was only remotely linked to P3

P1 and P2 were connected (characters from P1 appeared and were playable in P2). But P3 and P4 appeared to be in a different universe from the first two games, even though there were some references to the originals.
So P5 could simply happen in a different universe with new characters. There is no need for a direct sequel of P4 personally. -------------------

I was fascinated by the mystery and Midnight Channel story. When the MC got pulled into the TV, chills went down my spine. All I ask is that P5 can accomplish the same thing.
Since I likely wont get around to DDS 1 and 2 for awhile, and since I agree with BK that we just had two Personas in a row, I'd like a completely new story. I'd come up with one right now, but Atlus isn't paying me to think.

While I wouldn't mind having a new game released before P5, I certainly wouldn't mind having Persona 5 released either. I just pre-ordered SMT: Devil Summoner 2 a little over a week ago and just a few minutes ago pre-ordered SMT: Devil Survivor for the DS. By the time those games are released and I finish them off I'll be ready for a new Persona game to be out.

I hope there is a Persona 5 coming out soon. If a Persona 5 is announced, then i want it for the PS2.
Even though Persona 4 is considered one of my favorite PS2 games of all time, i don't want Persona 5 to be based off of Persona 4. The Midnight Channel and Inaba were amazing, but i think some fresh new ideas will really bring the Persona series to a new level. I really enjoy the Social link aspect of Persona, so i would rather have a new Persona announced then a new DDS game or a new SMT sequel. -------------------

Both Persona 3 and 4 are two of my favorite games ive ever played, and I too think that if Persona 5 comes out, it should be PS2( I dont have a PS3
Also, I totally agree about the Star Ocean thing. It should be on the PS3, not the Xbox. That irritates me to no end. >=[ But, im not going to get off on THAT tangent >.> I think another interesting turn could be a possible story in the US with a school trip like there were in 3 and 4 to Japan and they run into more characters from other games. But, in anycase, if Atlus is making it, it should be good, so I think ill be happy with whatever they make, as long as its not incredibly awful ^-^ ------------------- Top Five Favorite games, in no particular order: Tales of Symphonia The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Final Fantasy XII Persona 3:FES Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

For better or worse, Atlus will continue to develop games for the PS2 so you need not worry. It is very likely for Persona 5 to be released on the PS2.

re: Persona 5? |

I highly doubt that. P4 was produced largely due to P3's success and then FES's success state side. Of course Japan will gobble games like this up, but P4 was a product of America's enthusiasm. The reason it came out on PS2 is because most P3 players would still have their PS2s and the base theyd draw from with a PS3 game would be much smaller. Regardless of whether P5 is their next game or their third game, enough people will have a PS3 by then that itll come out from that system.
