i was so pissed off when i experience [sheer luck] of the enemy that manages to kill me.

like this one time at the castle i think..when i was bored and decided to kill anything i saw...
so i encountered this unknown [yet i finished this already.]

i decided to have fun and hit it with mabufula [with my MC]
and there were i think 5 or 6... my attack ended up reflecting...from them and killing me..haha.

The same happened to me, except it was Hama. I think i was training, and all of a sudden the enemy casted Hama on the MC.

oh yeah that happened to me too.
i was gathering quest materials when the enemy casted hama..
it pissed me off so much i didn't play the game for a day.

Are homonculi in P4 like they were in P3? They were always your last ditch chance to avoid being killed.

If you want to play it safe, the MC should never "experiment" with attacks on newly encountered monsters - you never know what will be absorbed or deflected.

Yes there are Homunculus in Persona 4.

Also, when you level up your party members S.Links, they can actually protect you in battle. So if a enemy cast mudoon or hama on the MC, then Yukiko or Yosuke can push you out of the way, having the spell hit them instead. THey don't die though, they are left with 1 HP.

I think this happened near the beginning or maybe all the party members died, but i wasn't sure how the Hama passed through.

One time when i was fighting kanji's shadow i think he put up physical sheild and i didin't know so i used a phys attack and it reflected on to me and killed me:#

How far through before I get my hands on any? I'm currently near the end of the "striptease" mission and haven't seen any. Admittedly I've only seen one enemy try to take out my entire party with a mamudo (sp) spell.

Oops sorry, i wasn't clear. I don't think there is Homunculus exactly, but there are two accessories that are similar to it.

They are Patient Collar and Partial Award.

Patient Collar can be found in a rare chest at Marukyu Striptease, Void Quest, and Heaven.

Partial Award requires you to ace the second school semester exams.

uhm there are the "stuffs" that would save you from instant death excludin the equips.
and just to let you know the thing with the "take a mortal blow for you" only works if it was a direct, single tageted attack.otherwise you're dead..

After some more play I found you can acquire a homonculus in the game. I found one in a chest - I think it was in the 8-bit dungeon.

I know about the single, targetted attack limitation. When I was fighting the boss in the 8-bit dungeon he started unleashing something which had a mudo effect (I think). Or it might have been instant death to anyone with the fear effect (I seem to recall something from P3 doing the same). Either way it killed me.

What the hell? I had a supply of 3 homunculus saved up - I was expecting to be thankful for them at some future battle. Then I reached Heaven level 5 where a number of monsters thrown around mudo/hama attacks. The catch is, they weren't throwning them at the MC, they were throwing them at the party members - and the homunculus were being sacrificed to save them. After just 2 battles I was all out.

Grr, that's a change for the worse from P3. I won't get a game over from my party members having an instant death so I don't want my precious homunculus dying for them. Especially since there is no easy way to get more.

when i was making the persona metatron, stupid igor made an accident!!! yet it was funny coz i got yatfusa

the story-line itself is pretty fun at many places.. when the girls wanna cook again and stuff like this.

but u dont talk about fun-stuff^^ u talk about pushing the reset-button(when u optain a persona that u dont need).

but if its fun... here is a story from me about a battle: i was fighting with one of those "hands" u get plenty of money from(and only 1 exp). he nullifies any damage. and it took me about 5mins tu figure it out how to deal with em. i thought i was stuck or an idiot.

btw... darkness or light-spells never killed me or any party-member in the entire game.

my souji has a beelzebub that has a null physical
i kinda forgot which spell i used but its one of those heavy dmg physical types, so i casted it with buff on an enemy, to m shocking experience i did not know that the enemy i was battling has a reflect physical affinity, and completely got my party, i was like lol good thing i had null phys, otherwise i wud have repeated from my last save, and just to note i really dont save my game unless im sleepy and all that X_X

You can get lotsa homonculus in naoto/underground dungeon.i got about six in that dungeon All of them are in the normal chest
