No there isn't. Getting a certain gender is totally random, unless you want a certain Pokemon, I think some Pokemon only come in certain genders, like Magneton has no gender and it will stay like that.

to trade from sapphire to firered u need 2 beat the E4 and get the ruby on island 1 and the sapphire by, going to island 5 but a scientist takes it to the rocket base on island 6.

P.S. the "islands" are the sevii islands and 1,2, and 3 are acsessible after u beat the 7th gym and 4,5,6,and 7 are acsessible after u get the ruby on island one AFTER the elites.

P.S.S. you probaly must beat the elites in sapphire to trade with FR/LG.

No, I heard you can get Deoxys from space in the Japanese version, otherwise you get them from Nintendo Events.

None of them are correct. The only version of the game in which you can travel to the moon is the Japanese version; this feature was taken out from all the other games. As for the number of launches, IIRC it is merely a counter for the number of weeks since you started the game.
