Rate my team

Here are the pokemon I used to beat Pokemon Sapphire. Can somebody please rate it?

Absol lv.60
Nature - quiet
ability - pressure
~slash
~sword dance
~faint attack
~thunderbolt
item- Balckglasses
Sword dance + slash is deadly. Faint attck is for STAB while thunderbolt is just for type coverage. Blackglasses boosts the power of faint attack.

Flygon lv.61
nature - Bold
ability - levitate
~earthquake
~Dragon claw
~solarbeam
~Fly
item - lax incense
Earthquake and dragon claw are for STAB. Solarbeam is just there as a filler. I needed a pokemon with fly, so that's why it's there. I think I might replace fly though. Lax incense lowers the foe's accuracy so that is good.

Ludicolo Lv.62
nature - Bashful
ability - Swift Swim
~Ice beam
~Surf
~Double team
~Giga drain
item - nevermeltice
Giga drain and surf are for STAB. Ice beam covers flyers. Double team is an annoying attack. Nevermeltice is to boost ice beam.

Ninetales Lv.61
nature - adamant
ability - flash fire
~Safeguard
~Hyper beam
~Overheat
~Flamethrower
item- charcoal
Safeguard is to prevent status problems. I hate hyper beam - I need to replace it. Flamethrower is there for STAB. Overheat sharply cuts Sp.ATK, but it is powerful. With an adamant nature, Ninetales's fire attacks are cut by 10% (Adamant nature = +10% in attack, but -10% in Sp.ATK.)That's why charcoal is attacthed.

Medicham Lv.66
Nature- hardy
Ability - Pure power
~Psychic
~Calm mind
~High jump kick
~Thunderpunch
item - magnet
Calm mind is great for boosting thunderp. and psychic. The magnet boosts thunderpunch even more. High jump kick is for STAB, and also gets a boost from Pure Power.

Rhydon lv.66
Nature - adamant
ability - lightningrod
~Toxic
~Rock Blast
~Megahorn
~earthquake
item- hard stone
Adamant nature boosts its already high attack. It's sp.Atk is bad anyway, so no big deal over the 10% decrease it gets. Toxic is to annoy the opponoent. Megahorn is a cool attack, and it's super effective on one of Rhydon's weaknesses - grass. Earthquake is for STAB. Rock blast, a weak and inaccurate attack is also for STAB. Hard Stone boosts the power of Rock Blast. If I could find my link cable, I'd trade Rhydon over to emerald and teach it Rock slide. Oh well...

Okay, that is my team. Can somebody rate it for me?

Those attacks arn't too bad. You are right about swords dance and slash beaing deadly. I cant really see as needing fixing at the moment..

Flygon lv.61
nature - Bold
ability - levitate
~earthquake
~Dragon claw
~solarbeam
~Fly
item - lax incense

Flygon has high stats in both Special attack and Attack so it is ok with dragonclaw and Earthquake is always good however that solarbeam on it is just freaking me out I would suggest sanstorm. Keep fly if you need a flyer But return is a much better attack.

Ludicolo Lv.62
nature - Bashful
ability - Swift Swim
~Ice beam
~Surf
~Double team
~Giga drain
item - nevermeltice

Rain Dance is good for ludicolo and i would replace ice beam with it since i dont really think its needed. This means that you dont need nevermeltice either so i would suggest a nice leftovers or even a miricleseed/mystic water

Ninetales Lv.61
nature - adamant
ability - flash fire
~Safeguard
~Hyper beam
~Overheat
~Flamethrower
item- charcoal

Safeguard is nice and so is flamethrower. I would have Will-o-the-wisp rather than overheat though and sunny day rather than hyper beam

Medicham Lv.66
Nature- hardy
Ability - Pure power
~Psychic
~Calm mind
~High jump kick
~Thunderpunch
item - magnet

meh, not too bad. I like calm mind and psychic. high jump kick isnt too bad. If thunderpunch works for you, keep it

Rhydon lv.66
Nature - adamant
ability - lightningrod
~Toxic
~Rock Blast
~Megahorn
~earthquake
item- hard stone

All i can really say here is find your link caple lol, the rest is good

Okay, that is my team. Can somebody rate it for me?

I rate it about a 7/10 in its current form. Some of the pokemon are already pretty good and without a link cable you cant exactly get the best movesets. A nice team for in game, just get rid of the hyperbeam and the solarbeam maybe

If anything, try and catch another Ninetales with a nature that supports instead of hinders SpAtt

Yeah he would have meant catch another Vulpix. Though it would be faster to breed the Ninetales you have at the moment....

re: Rate my team

I hatched like 6 vulpix eggs a few days ago. I was also reading about pokemon natures, and I found out that modest (Or something) boosts sp.ATK. Luckily, one of my hatched vulpixes had a modest (Or whatever it was) nature so I am going to train that one. I just don't know what moves to teach it.

Why should I give my Absol rare candies? I don't have any and besides, they aren't that great for your pokemon. I taught my pokemon some new moves, and leveled them all up to 70 and 71.

Here is my team. I just got to Victory road.

Shelgon lvl. 39 (Training very hard...)
Item: None at the moment
Ability: Rock Head (Prevents recoil damage)
Nature: Mild

Headbutt
Focus Energy
Ember
Dragon Breath

Mightyena lvl. 43
Item: Black Glasses
Ability: Intimidate (Lowers the foe's ATK)

Bite
Taunt
Scary Face
Take Down

Torkoal lvl. 43
Item: Charcoal
Ability: White Smoke (Prevents ability reduction)
Nature: Serious

Flamethrower
Iron Defense
Amnesia
Body Slam

Aggron lvl. 43
Item: Metal Coat (It works!)
Ability: Sturdy (Negates 1 hit KO attacks)
Nature: Naughty

Iron Defense
Iron Tail
Mud Slap
Take Down

Tropius lvl. 42
Item: Miracle Seed
Ability: Chlorophyll (Raises speed in sunshine)
Nature: Careful

Fly
Magical Leaf
Body Slam
Solar Beam

Swampert lvl. 43
Item: Soft Sand
Ability: Torrent (Ups Water moves in a pinch)
Nature: Bashful

Surf
Mud Shot
Muddy Water (this has got to go)
Take Down

Gardevoir lvl. 43
Item: Amulet Coin
Ability: Synchronize (Passes on status problems)
Nature: Modest

Calm Mind
Future Sight
Psychic
Imprison

As you may notice, I posted 7 Pokemon. I need to take one of the others out so I can put Shelgon in. But which one?

I know Pure Stealth told me before, but what do all the Natures do again?

I hope you didnt actually take his "advice"

as for Skittles07

Shelgon lvl. 39 (Training very hard...)
Item: None at the moment
Ability: Rock Head (Prevents recoil damage)
Nature: Mild

Headbutt
Focus Energy
Ember
Dragon Breath

This isnt bad for a level 39 since you cant really do much at that point. I just hope you give it some decent moves once it levels up a bit more.

If you can get your hands on the moves and feel like breeding it for the correct nature, i suggest:

@ leftovers

Adamant Nature

-Dragon dance
-Aerial Ace
-Rock slide
-Earthquake

Mightyena lvl. 43
Item: Black Glasses
Ability: Intimidate (Lowers the foe's ATK)
Nature: Relaxed

Bite
Taunt
Scary Face
Take Down

I like Taunt on it. You probably deleted howl for some other move (i dont blame you because it never seems like a good move till way later) so you may have to use the move tutor. Return is better than takedown and crunch is better than bite.

I would suggest for it:

-Howl
-Taunt
-Return
-Crunch

Torkoal lvl. 43
Item: Charcoal
Ability: White Smoke (Prevents ability reduction)
Nature: Serious

Flamethrower
Iron Defense
Amnesia
Body Slam

This one isnt too bad. I like the defencive stratergy you seem to have going there. No changes for this at the moment

Aggron lvl. 43
Item: Metal Coat (It works!)
Ability: Sturdy (Negates 1 hit KO attacks)
Nature: Naughty

Iron Defense
Iron Tail
Mud Slap
Take Down

Its too bad you have the Sturdy Trait since rock-head is a lot better. With the limited Aggron movepool you cant really do that much, but Earthquake is a MUST. Keep iron tail and iron defence if you like. Double-edge rather than takedown but only if you can get rock-head on it.

Tropius lvl. 42
Item: Miracle Seed
Ability: Chlorophyll (Raises speed in sunshine)
Nature: Careful

Fly
Magical Leaf
Body Slam
Solar Beam

IMO, Tropius works really well as a Sunny-beamer. Keep the Solarbeam and add Sunnyday and Synthesis. These moves work well with its Chlorophyll ability too. I would suggest hidden-power (fire) for the final move, but if you need a flyer then keep fly

Swampert lvl. 43
Item: Soft Sand
Ability: Torrent (Ups Water moves in a pinch)
Nature: Bashful

Surf
Mud Shot
Muddy Water (this has got to go)
Take Down

"this has got to go" Yes it has, Infact, i would say keep only surf. Rather than put the moves up 1 by 1 i will say it like this:

@ Chesto berry if you want to keep getting more of them or leftovers if you dont, its up to you.

-Curse
-Earthquake
-Ice Beam / Rock Slide / Surf
-Rest

Gardevoir lvl. 43
Item: Amulet Coin
Ability: Synchronize (Passes on status problems)
Nature: Modest

Calm Mind
Future Sight
Psychic
Imprison

Yay it has Calm mind. Well done! Make sure you keep calm mind on it at all costs. Psychic is good too. For the other 2 moves, i suggest Will-o-the-wisp and Thunderbolt.

As you may notice, I posted 7 Pokemon. I need to take one of the others out so I can put Shelgon in. But which one?

I would personally take out Mightyena. It isnt really that usefull and its maximum stats are really low.

I know Pure Stealth told me before, but what do all the Natures do again?

I did tell you before didnt i lol. I found this in general Discussion 1 on the gold forum:

Adamant: + Attack - Special Attack
Bashful: None
Bold: + Defense - Attack
Brave: + Attack - Speed
Calm: + Special - Defense Attack
Careful: + Special Defense - Special Attack
Docile: None
Gentle: + Special Defense - Defense
Hardy: None
Hasty: + Speed - Defense
Impish: + Defense - Special Attack
Jolly: + Speed - Special Attack
Lax: + Defense - Special Defense
Lonely: + Attack - Defense
Mild: + Special - Attack Defense
Modest: + Special - Attack Attack
Naive: + Speed - Special Defense
Naughty: + Attack - Special Defense
Quiet: + Special - Attack Speed
Quirky: None
Rash: + Special Attack - Special Defense
Relaxed: + Defense - Speed
Sassy: + Special Defense - Speed
Timid: + Speed - Attack
