I decided to take the time to watch the beginning movie for Left 4 Dead. As I watched it, I started to think about the possibility of it becoming a movie. Do you think it would have movie potential? I also ask the same thing of Half-Life, but that's a different game. I mean, the movie wouldn't start where the intro movie does, but would probably go back to the beginning before the outbreak. I think if it was created, they'd keep the cause of the infection a secret and focus more on the traumatic events of the survivors.

I would love a L4D movie. I don't see a movie coming though, because it would have to have some type of storyline, and Left 4 Dead doesn't have one at all. I think it could work out though, it could dig deeper into the backstory of the four survivors, go more into how the infection got started, etc. There could also be a love angle between Louis and Zoey. That would be awesome.

What are you talking about? Left4dead has a very prominent storyline but it just isn't blatantly told for you. You have to look at the world around you to see the storyline. The writing on the wall tell the story. The subtle hints left behind like dead bodies covered with a blanket. It's all there you just need to look.

The game in itself is a mere homage to the zombie movie genre. Making it into a movie would just be working backwards.

I think it would make a good movie, as long as they have a storyline... and no one will reapear in a closet. Then it would be good.

I thought the idea of L4D was to play through a campaign as if it was a movie, but an actual movie would be great

I always thought there should be a movie ever since I saw the opening scence. I think it would be a good movie but some parts of the game wouldn't work.
