Those of you that know me well know that I'm all for fun and games, but every now and then some rules need to be made... I believe in giving people chances, with a few exceptions. There are now some rules that I now have zero tolerance for when they are broken, so I apologize if I come across as "strict" or what-have-you, but those are the rules and they will be obeyed. Okay, enough chit-chat, here is what this thread is for: --=[Sanc and Pyro's House Rules]=-- Powered by moeforums v0.4.2.0 (oopiepay) I.) [ Keep to the Topic ]Details: As the title of this forum suggests, this forum is for Halo 2 discussion, not Tina Turner, Pokemon or South Park, but Halo 2, the forthcoming First Person Shooter (FPS) for the Microsoft Xbox. The occasional tangent is absolutely alright, as long as it doesn't happen too often, and as long as it doesn't divert the entire thread. II.) [ SPAMMING=BANNING ]Details: Please don't spam. I can understand if you are really excited about this game and want to reply to everything you can, hell, even I've done that before on occasion, just don't do it too much... Also, any spam with the pure intention of being spam (i.e. creating 27 threads with the title "HALO 2 SUX AN YOU EET POO") will instantly be deleted and bannings shall be handed out without any prior warning. In fact, you can go ahead and just consider this your only warning if you choose to do that... III.) [ Don't talk like a sailor! ]Details: Yes, I swear every now and then, Halo is an M for Mature game, so I'll tolerate petty cursing like shit, ass and damn, but please don't abuse my leniency in that area by endlessly repeating them. I also don't remember any vulgarity in Halo either, so there should be absolutely none of that here... IV.) [ Use the Forum Index or Search Function ]Details: I spent a lot of time making the [ Forum Index ], which is a list of notable links to eliminate a lot of searching for you guys, and to hopefully make your posting more convenient. You may find that both are quite useful when used before creating a new thread. It makes it a lot easier for you and me both if you post in an existing thread instead of creating a duplicate one. All that happens then is the thread gets closed, and you end up posting in the original thread anyway, so save my time and yours and please use the Forum Index or the Search Function... V.) [ Please don't "Double Post" ]Details: "Double Posting," or posting more than once in a row, is annoying to almost everyone, including me. Yes, I know that there are circumstances where it can't be avoided, but I'd appreciate it if it could be kept to a minimum... Double posts will be merged by yours truely if you choose not to do it yourself, and excessive double posting unless when posting something important like new pictures or info will result in a short vacation from the forum... VI.) [ ABSOLUTELY NO FLAMING ]Details: Can't we all just get along? Its pretty pointless coming here to flame a game/system/person... All doing that will accomplish is changing my mood from happy to pissed off, and thats not a good thing at all. If you have a problem with someone, use the NeoPM function so that you don't waste everyone else's time with petty arguments. Waste your own time with that crap. I also expect everyone to respect other people's opinions as I emphasized earlier, and not flame or report them for it. This isn't the Soviet Union, you're allowed to state your opinions in an eloquent and intelligent way as long as they don't flame anyone/thing. I won't hold other people's opinions against them, and I expect the same from everyone else that participates in this forum. VII.) [ System Wars will NOT be fought here! ]Details: If you are a PS2 or GCN Fanboy that decides to come here to trash Halo or the Xbox, I highly suggest that you don't, because not only will you be banned from here, I'll personally make sure that a Supermod slaps an extended ban on you... Same goes for the Xbox fanboys, some of which are forum regulars here... I will not tolerate double standards. If I don't allow PS2 or GCN guys to come in here and flame the Xbox, you can't sit here and flame their systems. Thats would be completely unfair and unjust on my part, and completely immature on yours. From now on any participation whatsoever in "system wars" will result in an instant ban. Consider this your warning. VIII.) [ Don’t try to cheat Forum Bans ]Details: If by some chance you do something that warrants me or someone else banning you from this forum or any forum, and you "brilliantly" think that if you create a new account and continue to post as if nothing happened you'll be okay, you are indeed very wrong. If you are caught attempting to circumvent a Forum Ban with a secondary account, not only will the new account be banned from the forum as well, but it will be banned from all of Neoseeker PERMANENTLY by a SuperMod... IX.) [ Obey the Official Neoseeker Rules ]Details: Click here to view them... Yes, some of my rules are slightly more relaxed than the official Neoseeker rules, and it will remain that way as long as my relaxed attitude is not taken advantage of, as it has been starting to lately. I absolutely despise uptight mods that have no sense of humor and that get pissed off at every minor infraction, and I'm definetly not like that at all, as all the regulars here know. But if anyone decides that they think they can abuse my laid back attitude, I'll take that the same way as I would if they were trying to abuse me personally, and appropriate actions will be taken. If this continues then I will make the rules more strict and act like I was an uptight mod that I myself despise, and I know for a fact that no one would want to see that happen... Besides, I'm usually in a really good mood when I come on Neo. I hope that you guys decide to keep it that way... As I said, this is for Halo 2 talk. If you want to talk about Halo 1, don't talk about it here, its got its own forum, perfectly suited for such things: While I'm at it, I might as well give the General Xbox Forum link too: Thank you very much for visiting the Halo 2 forum and taking the time needed to read through the rules, the purpose of which (other than to provide basic law & order) is to ensure that everyone finds all of the needed information that they came looking for, that they have fun here, and that it isn't at anyone else's expense. If you have any questions at all about anything, please NeoPM [ DragoniteBallZ ] or [ Pyroguy ]. All of us are good at returning PM's unlike many mods out there, so expect to get a reply if a PM is sent. If we are both away, then please direct any queries or problems with members and/or the forum to one of the Supermoderators located below and they can do some Molesting for me...

After confirming with Slacker, we're allowing individual clan threads. This would be a nice feature to not only inform people of different clans, but to also attract people who are looking to join clans. There are some rules you must follow when posting your Clan's Thread:
Clan Info: Give some background maybe, or put a link to the Clan's website. Also, give information about schedules and who to contact.
Gamertag List: Put all of the XBL Gamertags of people who are currently in your clan.
So in short, when creating a thread for your clan, don't just post 'Join my clan plz email me!', put some effort into it. A good format is something like below:
Clan Info I formed this clan because I thought that Xbox Live could use a clan called the Flaming Jesters, where you're judged by your kill-count and not your gender. You can reach me, the Clan-creator at jesterclan@aol.com, and the website is http://jesterclan.net. You can post here, visit the website, or contact me via email or PM to register.
Gamertag List Flaming Jester Honkerdoodle ThatGuy Ipickmynose4338
Also, remember to put the clan's name in the thread's Subject/Title.
PLEASE READ - 12/29/04
Please PM Pyroguy, Slacker or I when posting a Clan Thread, so we'll be able to include your thread in the Clan Index.
