Do you know what an expendable soldier is? Well far as I can tell, you would be, me, I'd haul ass on a cruiser to get to a Halo, steal the weapon technology on it, bring it back to Earth, convert it into a cannon or something where the attack could be directed in a single direction (and not set off the other Halos.). So then, if the covenant attack, we use one of those cannons and fry every crew member to hell, steal the ship and it's technologies, start finding out how they make such accurate slipspace jumps, start sending small vessels with slipspace engines into covenant worlds, space stations, etc, and blow them to hell, be it with nukes, the rip from the slipspace opening in the atomosphere or ship, or using our new Halo cannon to kick some ass and annihilate the prophets, elites, brutes, and Jackals. The Grunts and Hunters don't like the covenant, and are only fighting so there homeworld doesn't get glassed, Same with the grunts, they just want to live happy lives in their methane enrichied atmosphere homeworlded, free of war and death.
