this is just something to talk about. I was wondering what peopls favorite weapons were when playing rumble pit of head to head on live or even with friends.
Personally i am best with the sword as a second and a pistol in left hand in a smg in the right hand

Head to head = sword + rockets
Rumble = plasma rifle + SMG so you can take out at least two guys.

the reason that i like the pistol and smg so much id for some reason it is the only weapon that I can use to kill a sword guy right in front of me with about 3 shots other then the shotgun but these two weapons are also awsome from a distance the shotgun is not

If someone has a sword i use double needler. They get owned.

If they have a sword and they're charging you head on and you have enough time to kill them with a double needler, then they must suck with the sword... If it's a big enough space for them to see you charging head-on, then you should wait it out and either approach them from another angle, or get the to come in a more confined space where they won't have the oppurtunity to fill you full of needles...

I like the SMG-Plasma Rifle combo the best, personally. Dual SMG's is good, but it's a bitch to reload them at the same time. The plasma rifle just overheats, which isn't nearly as long as the SMG reload. It rapes shields too.

Always nice to have a Sniper for the back up weapon, or if you haven't got that use battle Rifle from the distance.

I personally like these combos, in order of preference:

1. Sniper, and Sword
2. Magnum + Magnum
2. Magnum + Plasma Pistol (too close to call)
3. Plasma Pistol + SMG
4. Plasma Pistol, and Battle Rifle as secondary. This combo works surprisingly well.

SMG and plasma rifle have proven to be a deadly wield combo.

i also hate matches where everyone has rocket launchers or sniper rifles (Swiss Cheese), that get really old really fast.

yeah, thats why head-to-head sucks on that one level with the random banshee (headlong?). I like the pistol and SMG combo, or SMG and plasma rifle combo.

Dual Magnums are the best combo, hands down. Just aim for the head and you can take them out in about a second.

I also like the Plasma Pistol and SMG or Magnum combo. Take their shield out with a charge shot and you can easily finish them off with your SMG or Magnum.

Hey i got something for you guys to try out, the little pea shooter, im not sure what its called, but what you do is charge it up in one hand and have an smg in the other the green pea shooter homes a little and will take down an enemies shields completely, overshield and all, then take em down with the smg it never fails.....someone please tell me the name of the little gun that i call the green pea shooter

My favorite combos are battle rifle/plasma pistol, smg/magnum, magnum/magnum, and smg plama rifle. If you do it right, all of those can kill a sworder faster than he can get in range and lunge at you.
