I have experienced a veeeery frustrating problem, when i use the flashlight or invisibility. When i use the black button to toggle em' on it works for about 2-3 seconds, then it toggles off by it self. I tried to restart the game, but the same damn thing happened again. Then i tried to create a new profile, but the same thing happened AGAIN. I tried to hold down the black button, but it still toggled of by itself. This is really pissing me off. I don't want to toggle my flashlight back on ebery third second, when its dark and a lot of vovenant shootin at me.
Could it be a bug, or did i get a faulty copy?

Well the invisiblity for arbiter is explained, the arbiters suit is very old so the cloak doesnt last for long. Im not sure bout the flashlight, Ive had it on peranent before now without it going out. And then sometimes it only lasts for a few seconds. Maybe it is explained at the start of the game.....

I think that's normal. Not sure about the flashlight though. Normally you can turn the flashlight on for quite a whille and then it turns itself off. And if you turn it back on immediately then it will turn itself off again after 3 secs. 'Cos it has to recharge. But if it never has been on longer than 3 seconds then it might be something with your controller.

it only stays on when your in the dark.

The flashlight is only meant to be turned on in darkness, so if you turn it on where light is, it'll automatically shut off. I agree, however, there are lots of dark places where the flashlight betrays us, and it's a helluva lot of confusion on Legendary against the Flood.

What are you talking about? It only stays on when it needs to be in, as in when it's dark. And I think you mean you pressed the white button, not black.

I didnt read the above post in time. I was confused about what the question was

well.. there is a timer for the flashlight, i believe its like 10-15 sec, i counted, i believe it is different when you are the arbeitor, but im not sure on that? But you can try it for yourself.

i think the reason they mad eit where it turns off automaticly is because in halo1 people kept forgetting to turn them off and why doesnt the elites have flashlites when im playing campeign on a level where it is dark i want to beable to use a flastlight or otherwise i cant telll where i am going.
