so what is the whole thing with the arbiter and humans teaming up at the end...? will the continuance have the elites on the human side?i beat the game but i'm still lost plz help!

The Covenant started to show signs of falling apart when the Prophet of Regret was killed by the Master Chief. The Prophets decided to replace the Elite Honor Guards with the Brutes. Then, Tartarus was given orders to kill the ARbiter, and evidently the Elites as a whole. So, the Covenant got themselves into a civil war. The Prophets, Brutes, Drones, and Jackals on one side, and the Elites, Hunters, and Grunts on the other.

The Arbiter only sided with humans to stop Tartarus, and it's unknown if their alliance will continue in Halo 3.

well ok thanks i think thats as about as helpfull as this is gonna get...if anyone reads this like a couple months from now and there is new info about this put it up but otherwise it seams like no info to really explains this is out...ok.... i think i'm really not that lost then...unless in comparison to bungie cause they know what they planned but it would be cool if the elites side with the humans...hum

Its like in old movies, when a bad guy and a good guy are hanging off a cliff. The good guy helps the bad guy and then they become enemies again.

If it's confusing just remember what most of the covenant have believed about the halos.... that it will send them on "the great journey" to a paradise where they can meet the forerunners. The arbiter learns the truth about the halos from Guilty Spark if I'm not mistaken. That it was a massive weapon to destroy all non-sentinal life, to stop the Flood from spreading.

But yeah. It was the job of the Elites to protect the first halo from its destruction. They failed, so the Brutes were called in.
