I'm not sure thats what it is called, but I heard (and saw) someone jump on a hog use both grenade types and a rocket launcher to fling themselves catapult-like across the level (I know this is for halo 1, but that forum is dead). Can someone tell me how to do this in detail???

I don't know if it's possible in HALO 2 cuz the Warthogs now take damage. If you Throw a plasma, fragment, and shoot a rocket the hog will just blow up, but in HALO it would be shot in the air. (hell, the only reason I didn't sell HALO is so when I'm board I could do some Warthog jumping)

I just want to know how to warthog jump in halo 1.

Well in Multiplayer there are no chain reactions when grenades blow up near each other, so what u want to do is this: Plasma, Fragment, Rocket. If u have friend tell then to do the same thing at the same time to the same Worthog, and boom, it goes flying.

As for Campaine the best level to this in is The Silent Cartogrofer (wow, I remember the level names ). What u want to do here is get allies in a Worthog and drive to a secluded place near a check point. Kill them both in the same spot. If they drop no grenades reload from the checkpoint (they drop 2 max). Once all the Marienes are dead get either a Fragment, Plasma, or a Rocket (u just need one of each, but if u cant get them all, anyone would be ok). Park a Worthog over the grenades and just like before: Plasma, Fragment, Rocket. It goes flying.

Best of all, Co-Op. A good level to do this in is AOTCR, but The Silent Cartogrofer is still good. Now basically this is like Campain, except now u don't have to get the Marienes to die in one stop, cuz one person can kill them and pick up the grenades, then get bashed in the back of the head and dieing. Do this over in the same spot until all allies are dead. Now for the great part: plasma grenades. Kill enemies, pick up their plasmas and do the same thing (bash in the head) that u did before. Now u have many grenades, now Plasma, Fragment, and Rocket that thing in to the stratosphere, BUT WAIT THERES MORE! If a friend is helping (I don't have friends ) have them also throw the grenades and fire the rocket and the Worthog will go much further.

only the host can get hurled around while in a warthog in multiplayer, buts its best when everones on the same team with frienly fire off or during glitches with overshields

it's simple, just shot him with a tank or rocket launcher while he's going ful speed and some greanaides while he's not moving, it should bearly damage a warthog if everyones on the same team

yes! tank jumping is great! isn't there like only 3 ways though right? single tank, tank on tank, and wraith on hill in front of tank

it works best in juggernaut since you can get unlimited ammo
you just have to find the person it works and let them be the juggernaut

Well in some of the pages (not multi-player , coop ) they say to % jump" to a certain place. What would that mean?

To do warthog jumping, you have to kill alot of marines in the same place then park a warthog on top of the grendades then fire with any explosives. If you want to travel with the warthog, then make sure the grendades are under the bumper. Then stand on the turret, throw a plasma at the ground infront of the car, quickly get in the turret and then enjoy the sights!

It'll still be destroyed. Warthog jumping in halo 2 is pointless(just rocket lunge or sword fly there), but in halo 1 it was fun. Park the warthog next to the over shield and get in as your overshield is charging.

what about mr. warthog jump? it shows how to in video and in explanation, i'm not sure but i think this person was the one who really started the warthog jump craze

I doubt anyone started the craze. Some people probably tried it on their own and told other people about it. It's not that original.
