The graphic style |
|
Who else is loving the graphics style of this game? The animation itself reminds me of No More Heroes with a hint of Okami both of which had brilliant graphic styles. Apart from the style of the animation itself though I'm loving the black, white & red approach to it.
Anybody else a fan of/have any complaints about the graphics from what we've seen so far?

I see more of a Sin City(comics not the movie) inspiration than anything else.I love the graphics and it's safe to say that almost everybody digs the graphics.

Now that you mention it, it does look quite a bit like Sin City.
It also just occured to me that Platinum Games was made from the remnants of Clover Studios, state the resemeblance to Okami's art style. My only worry at present regarding the graphics themselves is if the Black & White could make things hard to distinguish during intense fights, especially if you've got red diverted the focus of your view. But from what I've seen so far I doubt it''ll be a proimnent issue.

After playing this a fair deal, these are definately among some of the best graphics this gen. The graphic style of it is amazing, the level of detail you can get in and keep it all easy to follow whilst being entirely black and white with red constantly attempt to divert your attention is amazing. The cel shaded style is awesome as well, Okami is easily one of the better looking games from last gen, and it really carries over to Madworld even if the manner it's carried out in is different.
My only complaint is playing it for several hours will send you quite dizzy XD
