[FC Breakdown] Expert Guitar |
|
Well, there's an FGFC (or several) now so it's only fitting to have a list that incorporates how easy songs are to FC in order from easiest (1) to hardest (49). Feel free to post your opinions on my opinions. Maybe this'll end up better than the SH list
![]() 1. Nothing Else Matters - Really, really easy. Only thing annoying is the length. 2. The Unforgiven - one tricky section in the solo (1/48th HOPOs) that only occurs once in the song. 3. No Excuses - lots of chords, and a simplistic trill 4. Mother of Mercy - slow, with only one chokable section... in the intro 5. Turn The Page (Live) - can potentially cramp your hand, but nothing genuinely difficult 6. For Whom The Bell Tolls - somewhat difficult chord changes for the first song. Ring to the Sky is very easy to choke in. 7. Tuesday's Gone - long, and has a couple of potential choke spots 8. Stacked Actors - Nothing too difficult; just lots of chord changes 9. No Leaf Clover - Solo A is easy to choke in, Solo B is a bit easier to hit than it looks. Easy chord changes afterwards are easy but like most things are easy to choke on. 10. Albatross - Bridge. Just Bridge. 11. The Memory Remains - Easy and fun. White notes are a potential miss due to space and the "fast strumming" can be overstrummed with ease. 12. The Boys Are Back In Town - 3 alt. strum sections. Nothing difficult outside them though. 13. Enter Sandman - main riff is easy to mess up in. Solo can mess up a sightread. 14. King Nothing - not as hard as it seems. HOPO section before a verse can be missed easily though. Solo is very chokable. 15. Toxicity - transitioning from the 3-note chords to the HOPOs can be difficult until you get used to it. 16. The Thing That Should Not Be - A trill white note solo... very easy to miss despite being about 112 BPM. 17. Demon Cleaner - the HOPO sustains and strummed greens before the solo are boring and easy to screw up. Solo can be tricky if you're not used to it. 18. Fuel - very, very easy main riff. Solo's nothing too troublesome either. Very easy FC for its tier, and could be easily gotten on a sightread. 19. Orion - 9 minutes long, and a solo that can pose some trouble at first. 20. Armed and Ready - Nothing truly challenging, aside from maybe the long sections of reds with occasional chords 21. Stone Cold Crazy - Very fast, very fun, solo. Probably fastest song/section in the entire game. 22. Hell Bent for Leather - The solo after the white notes is the hardest part of the song, and even that's fairly simple. 23. Sad But True - Nothing overly difficult, but a noticeable step up in difficulty from previous FCs 24. Mommy's Little Monster - Lots and lots of strumming. Comparable with One-Armed Scissor from WT. 25. Blood and Thunder - Strummed solo :/ 26. Beautiful Mourning - Easy to miss intro due to awkward arpeggios. 27. Fade to Black - Very, very easy... until you reach the solo 28. The Black River - The triplets/gallops after the sustains can be hard to hit. The first solo can be easy to miss too. 29. War Inside My Head - Random mini-solos that are very easy to miss. 30. Frantic - Strummy with random hammer ons. Reminds me of Go That Far (GH3) in a sense. 31. Ace of Spades - Lots of alt strum sections. Arguably the hardest iteration of this song. 32. Am I Evil? - Long song with a hard to hit solo. May require tapping if you're unable to consistently one-hand streams of white notes. 33. Wherever I May Roam - Slides in the solo make it easy to miss. 34. Creeping Death - Another long song. Difficult solo, and an exceptionally easy to choke in outro. 35. Mercyful Fate - 11 minutes long. The alt. strumming during "Evil" may require practice. Solo C of Curse of the Pharaohs is easy to miss in as well. 36. The Shortest Straw - Noticeably harder than Mercyful Fate. Easy to miss just about anywhere, and the solo can be a bitch. 37. Battery - The main riff is exceptionally easy to mess up in. The solo can pose a challenge, but it's not too bad. Much easier than in RB anyway. 38. Seek and Destroy - Very, very easy to hit... until the solo. 39. Whiplash - Nothing but alt. strumming, very easy to miss, Breakneck Solo C. 40. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) - I know I'm not the only one who underestimated this song. It's very, very easy and boring... and then you hit the alt. strumming outta freaking nowhere and it becomes very fun and you could miss. 41. Hit The Lights - Nothing overly easy. Solo 2 is very easy to screw up. 42. Evil - Solo 1 and Tapping Solo are major miss point. Everything else is easy to combo though. 43. Master of Puppets - Hammett Solo can be challenging at first, and the 4-note chord at the end can be missed even if you know it's coming. 44. All Nightmare Long - Lots of strumming, very fast, very fun. 45. Fight Fire With Fire - Burning Riff. Every occurrence of it. Ironically, the solo is the easiest section. 46. War Ensemble - Lots, and lots of alt strumming. Difficult main riff. Solo's surprisingly easy to hit, but still highly chokable. 47. Dyer's Eve - The entire song can pose a challenge... and then there's the triplets. 48. Disposable Heroes - Solo has random strums. The entire song has random strums for that matter. 49. One - Fast Solo A. Just Fast Solo A. This message was edited by Mcilrath on Aug 09 2009. ------------------- ![]() I can not PM? Baww.

Turn the Page is bloody hard IMO. Thanks, I'm gonna try and FC the first 3 in your list, I almost FC'd For Whom Bell Tolls but the hammer-ons go on for to long and you just have to chock at some point.
How many of these have you FC'd. ------------------- ![]()

Hmm... I might be able to get FFWF and WE with enough practice but there's no chance of getting Dyer's Eve onwards. The one time I managed to FC FSA in One I ended up failing in FSC (<_<) so I'm unsure if I'll be able to do that again. I'm definitely not getting FGFC on either Guitar or Bass (*bleep* War Ensemble bass; giant wall of open notes FTMFL) ------------------- ![]() I can not PM? Baww.

What about disposable heroes. I don't think it's the third easiest song in Donington Park.

I think the Solo in Unforgiven is seriously hard for it's tier. It should be in the Apollo.
The only song I can FC is For Whom The Bell Tolls, I'll get Mother of Mercy in the next few days hopefully. I found none of Sanitarium hard. I certainly wouldn't put it in the ten hardest. ------------------- ![]()
