What would you want the next band specific Guitar Hero to be? I would have to say it should be based on The Clash. While I am a huge fan of metal, The Clash is my all time favorite band, and I would love to see more of their songs on music simulation games.

Its not the rights which are the problem with Maiden, from my knowledge they recorded their masters weird (guitar seperate from vocals or something, I don't really remember). From memory only, and could be very wrong lol.

I think Guitar Hero: Iron Maiden could be a likely option, given their popularity and history. But I'd really love to see Guitar Hero: Dream Theater. I think it would be the best GH to date in all areas. Imagine Petrucci's guitar, Portnoy's drums, Myungs bass and LaBrie's vox! Not only would it be insanely fun, but it would be insanely hard and insanely technical. You also have a nice mix of styles from soft ballads (Another Day) to progressive anthems (Metropolis) to brutal metal (This Dying Soul). I could go on.

Damn Rock Band for getting to the Beatles! Guitar Hero is just a better franchise. I'm happy there will be a Beatles themed guitar game, but it's bittersweet for me as a fan of the GH games. I think Black Sabbath needs its own GH game. Ozzie was already featured prominently in GH4, and "Paranoid" made it onto the GH:3 setlist, but Sabbath's catalog is definitely worthy of the Guitar Hero treatment. Other musicians who need their own standalone games: Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, the Decemberists, the Doors, Pink Floyd, the Zombies, Iron Maiden, Muse, Led Zeppelin... work faster, Activision!!
