Help Submitting |
|
Well I can set up a submission, but I can't finish it. The guy just sits there and my opponent just wiggles out. What do I do? Because I'm rotating the analog stick clockwise while clicking it and hitting the "face" buttons, A B X and Y. It doesn't do anything. Most of the time it sets up a Kamora, atleast thats what the ref says. Any help would be appreciated.

"Just hitting" and "just rotating" won't get you anywhere. You've got to be doing it really fast. And it's spelled Kimura.
Also, check the stats of the fighter you're using. If the Submission offense is really high, say in the 90s, rotate the stick. That's called a technical submission, and it's made easier through the stats. If you have a strong fighter, physically, with low stats in submission, mash the buttons instead. -------------------

Your opponent needs to be gassed and/or low on stamina.
Pummel they're bodies til they're nackered then go for your submission. If the character your using has good submission offence rotate the analog stick. If their strength attribute is better then hammer the buttons. This also works for escaping submissions too, with submission defence being the relative stat obviously.

Oh, thanks guys. So is there any certain person who is the best in submission defense and offense in each weight class? Like a list of the best submission people?

People like Forrest Griffin tend to be pretty good at submitting. BJJ fighters usually have a better selection of submissions as well, such as Flying Armbars and Triangles from mount.
That's also another thing to consider when submitting, you'll have less success with things like Kimura and Kneebars, but something like a Flying Armbar or a Triangle Choke will take more out of the opponent. -------------------

yes.
you have to unlock triangle and flying armbar by getting level 2 in bjj i think. and you get this by competeing the training camp in bjj. when you unlock it next camp it shows you how to do it. is a flying armbar the same as a normal armbar coz i cant tend to do a normal armbar in the classic fights but i can do a flying armbar would that still unlock for me?

All depends on your fighter. You need to be using someone who specializes in BJJ.
While on your back, you can transition to rubber guard and pull it off that way, or when in full mount you can hold L1/LB and Submit. -------------------

Okay. Thanks. It's kind of confusing right now, though. I'll get the hang of it sooner or later. I'm amazing on my feet, it's just that at least before if you got me on the ground, I'd be done. But now I'm halfway decent at least.
