To be honest I wish they wouldn't bother too much about the PS2 version. PES2010 should be a next-gen game and they shouldn't keep dumbing it down for the PS2.

If you look at Konami's point of view then you would keep making it for the PS2. They want more money and by keeping it on the PS2 they are making that.

I don't think they do though, Whelan. I think they make 2 seperate games if I'm honest. One game for the next gen consoles and the PC. And then another game for the PS2 and PSP. I've played the PSP/PS2 versions and they are so different from the XBOX360 version. I wouldn't get too worried about Konami 'dumbing it down' for the old-gen consoles. I'm not going to be as optimistic as I once was, like the last two years, but I suspect PES2010 to be the best PES game we have seen.  -------------------  All members welcome! | |

Ps2 > Ps3
 Has anyone played Pes 2009 for both the Ps2 and Ps3/Xbox 360/PC? Are there any major differences besides the graphics? I might get Pes 2010 for Xbox 360/Ps3, depends on whether I can afford one by that point, or whether I can even be arsed to get one. EDIT: Nevermind, just saw HH's post. -------------------  | |

Yeah I could go into much more detail. But I won't. It's just a simple concept. The next-gen versions are so much better - This will be much more noticable if you play PES on a next-gen console then play it on an old-gen console strait after. The graphics, the player motions and even some features are missing. If I'm thinking correctly, PES2008 on the PS2 didn't have the 'dive' option, whereas the version on the PC/PS3/XBOX360 did. It's a lot of money to fork out but personally, 360's are such good value for money now. I'd recommend to everyone who is still playing PES on a PS2. I was just writing from experience though. I haven't played the PSP version enough to really talk about the differences in depth. No commentary? That's probably a good thing as you don't have to listen to Mark Lawrenson when you play! ------------------- All members welcome! | |

It is bad though the only commentary is when you score.
Compared to Fifa on the PSP, Pro is ace. On Fifa only the strikers ever score, but they do have full commentary on it. | |

I prefer it with no commentray, i always had the sound turned down when i played on the PS2, but when i picked up a PSP, it was pleasant to just have the crowd noises and no unwanted interruptions from Mark Lawrenson et al.
