3? I've have 8 all the time. Plus the 3 continues. Either way this game is very cool.

Did anyone play the 16 bit Contra.. ya sucked didnt it?? lol

normal difficulty gives you 3 lives but if you put it on easy you can get 7 or 8.

yeah the 8-bit Contra ruled! the 16-bit one for SNES was pretty cool too. Contra for SNES mirrors Shattered Soldiers in a lot of ways.

i am having trouble saving my completed stages on contra s.s.,is it possible to save your game or do you have to start from scratch every time you quit?

the codes work but u must play easy mode! but can u continue with 30 guys? or is that a one time deal?

Capt. Canuck, you've downed the best damn game in the universe. You guys think this is the best contra so far? Geez, nearly all of the bosses are taken from Contra 3...what I'd really like to see instead of an entirely new game, would be a remake of The Alien Wars. None of you pansies would be able to beat it...oh man it rules. Especially the double-fisted gunplay...And yes, it kicked ass how you lost your weapons when you died...gave you a much higher incentive to avoid those laser shots, and fire blasts. Oh yeah, all the enemies in the game die the same exact way regardless whether you hit them with a flamethrower, crush gun, machine-gun, tank round, etc...and i wouldn't have it any other way.

hey i'm thinking about getting this game now that it's at an affordable price. Did anyone every play SquareSoft's shooting game called Einhander? the graphics remind me a lot of this game, except in Einhander you are flying a ship.

How do you save your missions without quiting or being game over?

I think its just ok. Do you get to save your life, die, then load to be alive again?

I hope that Neo Contra includes some of the classic Contra games as unlockable items... preferably Contra and Contra III. ^^
