what would u rate this game on a scale of 1-10? what are the best and worst parts of the game?

If you're a true Contra fan, Played the First Contra on the NES up to the Latest Contra Hard Corps on the PS1, YOU SHOULD! If i could rate it on a scale of 1-10, I would say 9.9

Forgot to Include: Best Parts of the Game- Cool Graphics, realistic moves and characters, interesting Plot. Worst Parts- Much harder Gameplay although there's the occassional Up, Up, down, down,..........

hell ya!! This is a sweet game and i as well have played all the contras except for the ones for game boy. I love them all from Contra to the most recent one Shattered Shoilder. This game sucks you in right away with all the metal music and awsome graphics and keeps you im with the non-stop action, not to mention the really fun co-op I would give the series a 9 to 9.5 out of 10 it is sweet!!

It's a great high quality game. If you like shmups, you'll probably appreciate this game.

But.... it might not work on your PS2. If you don't have any problems playing blue disc games on your system, go for it.

Surprisingly it outdid it's somewhat dismal predecessors, so yes, it would be a good idea to buy, or at least do what I do and rent before you get it. You never know if your speaking to a typical audience or a small group of die-hard fans.

Most certainly yes! If you are a casual gamer then do not because of the high difficulty. All the Contra games rule....Except for the PS1 Games, there so bad that you will probably find other uses for the disc like playing frisbee, YAY!

This game is very good if you have played the other Contras, as nearly everyone else has said. It has very good graphics, but is very hard and extremely fast-paced. On a good note, you don't have to wait around for different weapons, you have six as soon as you come on the screen. And the game doesn't take your weapons away if you die. I reckomend playing this game with someone, because you won't last long playing a one-player game with only eight lives.
