I would love a save recovery system. Not in the way most people want, i don't want Jack back but i do want his legacy brought back. By this i mean BioShock 2 should look for the last save file of BioShock 1 and load up everything from it. For example, that Big Daddy you killed in the first game would be loaded and his corpse would be in the same place it was.
This would be a great feature not only for nostalgia but it would add in some of Jacks legacy in Rapture. It's pretty obvious now that we will no doubt be returning to many areas we explored in the original. With the save harvest feature it would make the game even more personal, it'd bring back memories "i remember killing him, he was a bitch" hell you could even walk into a trap bolt YOU set up in the original. I know they won't do this, they probably haven't even thought about it but to me it'd add to the experience. As right now if BioShock 2 plays out how i think, it will be the same locations but other than certain broken set pieces it'll be like Jack never entered Rapture. That to me would be the worst part about it, the story arc carries on but the events that took place in the original are all but wiped out location wise. If they implemented something like this it should be like the New Game+ feature with it being a choice. ------------------- ![]() | |

To be fair, I can't imagine that the residents of Rapture would just leave everything as it was. Scavengers would have moved or taken bodies and/or equipment.

Oh i know that but some things would be left the same, Big Daddies and such are too heavy to be manhandled and are just left. I am not suggesting that Splicers would be left as they did actually dissapear over time in the original, but Big Daddies and the smaller weapons such as trap bolts and mines could very well be included as part of this.

If this were to be implemented, it could only be a few things, and probably not even worth it. Big Daddy bodies, sure. That would be cool and a bit nostalgic. But really, if you're going to a vending machine, you don't want to find out that it's broken because you shot it for the hell of it in the first game.
I'm not saying they'd go into that much detail, but it seems like it'd be more trouble than it's worth. And I could see much of it being the same anyway. All the destruction and such caused to Rapture will probably still be present. Hell, it's suppose to have been wrecked even more since the last game. ------------------- ![]() | |

its a good idea but exactly as everyone else said it would be too much trouble..i think the most we will see is maybe a "welcome back" achievement if the game spots Bioshock 1 achievements on the hard drive or memory unit i guess...

It wouldn't be too hard to implement in some places I guess, but it would be too time consuming. Also, as for whether you saved or harvested the little sisters, I dont want to have a save file carried over that makes me start off as a good/evil character
