What Do You Want Improved/To See In Bioshock 2? |
|
This is where you can post what you want improved in Bioshock and what you want to be added or things you might want in a Bioshock game.

I can't really think of much that would need improving. Bioshock was an awesome game, which sucks, because it makes me doubtful that Bioshock 2 will be able to live up to the first game.

The only thing I really wanted was the ability ot go outside and see more of Rapture from the outside, after the amazing intro when you go into the city for the first time. We know underwater sequences are coming so that's all good. Oh and the plasmid upgrades were kind of meh, but the new ability to combine plasmids sounds like it's going to be superb fun, can't wait to tinker with that one.

Why Bioshock 2 is a terrible idea. He makes some fair points, but I just can't resist the chance to have fun in Rapture again, even if the quality dips a little from the standard of the first one.

I agree with you completely. Some of the points he made are good, but I just can't help myself getting excited over this game.

quote Oogity_Boogity_BooThe only point he made was that he doesn't like sequels. I don't see how that is a valid argument. I understand that the last game ended nicely, but it's not that hard to write up a new one. I'll still be buying this, whether that guy likes it or not. ------------------- ![]() OCEANIA

I'll still be buying it too, but I think there are some valid points in the article. I think he spoke a lot of truth about how sequels tend to degrade in quality.
quote GamesradarI think the source material is good enough to support another highly enjoyable game. I just wonder, if they'd got Ken Levine to do it, would it have had the awesome quality of the original? ------------------- ![]()

His point about the underwater sequences is good, as well as what he says about the splicers.
What made the splicers creepy was that they were human at one point, living a normal life, and they receded into what they were presented as. And the claustrophobia effect in Bioshock was awesome, and added to the game. Being outside the city is cool, but if it takes away from the atmosphere fo the game, I'm not sure I'll like it. That said, I still can't wait for the game. ------------------- ![]()

I'm sure I noticed somewhere that ADAM slugs could be found in the underwater sequences. Between that and the new Little Sister mechanic, adopting rather than saving them, does anyone else think that means there might be a lot more ADAM in this game?

I would actually like to walk in the ocean instead of being behind the walls of it. I want to see those sea creatures and whether or not if they are enemies or not.

I want to be able to mount a giant syringe as a secondary melee weapon and use it to syphon corpses (and maybe even live enemies) so I won't have to go through the whole kill big daddy, escort little sister mini-mission.

re: What Do You Want Improved/To See In Bioshock 2? |
quote Kommando367Well that would be pointless seeing as it would remove any form of challange from aquiring ADAM. There would be no point if you could just press a button and gain a whole s**t load of it. Though I do hope that they keep the "protect the Little Sister" mini-game to the minimum, too much of that would just become tiresome. ------------------- ![]()

I would like more opportunities to collect ADAM throughout the game besides of rescuing/harvesting the litter sisters.
