	Ok this is either a massive revalation about the plot of bioshock 2 or i spoted a plot hole in bioshock 1. surely ryan would just respawn in a vita chamber after you kill him because [spoiler=]the only reason you can use them is because there set to his genetic code and your his son[/spoiler] so i think he might be the one controling things in bioshock 2

	ok while you all are probably right there are a few iregegularities you may want to consider 1. the door conecting his office to the room you enter central contol is locked. This means if he respawned in the first vita chamber he would be beyond your reach. 2. as he has figured out that your working for fontaine/atlas he could just fake his own death for fontaine/atlas' benefit and go into hiding i know your all probably right but still...

Spoiler: Bioshock Storyline Spoiler Fontaine did the same by faking his own death and taking on the alias of Atlas, the main difference there is that we never saw how Fontaine pulled it off. 	With a Vita Chamber off and Jack beating the living hell out of Ryan with a golf club makes it more unlikely. You don't know how Fontaine faked his death. He probably made it so people didn't know where his corpse was, unlike Ryan. It's hard to fake your death when you want to fake it by having someone beat you to death with a golf club. -------------------

	Unlikely, yes. Impossible, no. Spoiler: Because... As you said, we don't know how Fontaine faked his death. Which means it's also possible that it was witnessed, perhaps in a similar manner to how Andrew Ryan dies. When you finish Atlas' dirty work and he reveals himself as Fontaine (the part where bots come and the Little Sisters help you), is Andrew's body still on the floor when you run back through the room to try and escape? I never really took notice before, but for some reason I only just thought of that now. It's also possible that the Little Sisters dragged off Andrew Ryan's body too, but how they could possibly revive him I don't know. 	fontaine "died" in a shoot out you can find a diary mentioning this in fort frolic. also considering ryan only created rapture because he would rather hide at the botom of the ocean than fight for what he believed in it is probable that he would rather leg it than try and fight fontaine.

	_{Personally, I think Andrew Ryan is well and truly dead. It's kind of hard to fake a golf club sticking out of your head, especially when the person holding the golf club isn't actually in on the deception. As has been mentioned, though, Ryan wanted to die. Not for any 'I hate the world' thing, but because his personal philosophy would allow nothing else. When you're talking with him, he states,'A Man chooses, a Slave obeys.' Ryan was convinced that he was not a parasite, or a slave. He knew there was no way he could beat you or Fontaine (he'd already tried). To simply let himself get killed would have been a violation of his moral code; proof that, in the end, he was really that which he most despised. By handing you the club and ordering you to kill him, Ryan took charge, and that made his his death acceptable. As for the point about possibly being resurrected in another Vita-Chamber, consider this: How many of you actually went back and checked all the other Vita-Chambers you'd passed? It's possible that Ryan not only shut off the one in his office, but all of them throughout the city, to ensure that there was no cheating on his part. It probably would have been a timed command, turning them back on after it was too late to revive him, so that you could continue to use them. Sorry this is so long-winded; this has been bouncing around in my head for a while, and this is the first opportunity I've had to get it out.} -------------------
