Seeing that EVEN Nintendo admits it sucks (and the fact that they want to change it) the chances of no FC's in The Conduit is even higher now. Plus the fact that HV wants no friend codes.

Iwata didn't say they were getting rid of them, just that they are cumbersome but necessary to keep the level of security Nintendo wants to maintain.

Though honestly, I don't see how entering a screen name in the place of a friend code would be any less secure. Both parties would have to still add each other before communication could take place, so as long as little Suzy doesn't add IluvSmChld123 she can't get kidnapped, or whatever.

He said he will improve it which to me is change . It would be nice if they just did what you said though.

Honestly, is it really all that much effort to type in a couple numbers?

The only time I hate friendcodes is when they restrict online completely, unlike what Brawl did, where you could use both friendcodes or play with anyone.

I dont hate it that much but no fc's would be really nice.

I think they should go for what Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 did. Instead of using friendcodes, use persona's. Basically add their gamertag.

If you see a message like that, with a Rick Roll, instead of simply reporting, remove the post from view. As long as you have more than 50 posts you can do that.

But I do agree, they should have a better alternative because FCs can be obnoxious sometimes. They both serve the same purpose, both parties must add each other first.

well Nintendo is all about safety.
they think that kids and teens don't know what the hell they are doing, but Nintendo really needs to ASK US WHAT WE WANT.
for the friend code system, it doesnt tell you that someone is trying to add you >.<
on XBL and PSN, it says if someone is trying to add you and you can even msg. people saying "WHO ARE YOU" and whatnot.

Definitely like to see them nix the idea.

Why not take the Wii's unique signal to play each other instead of typing a 12- or 16-digit string?

As for this, I am sure they know of the "top" gaming sites to visit and read all(most) of the opinions on their system of doing things and are aware of the critique for the FC system but have yet to come up with a new innovative and pleasing solution

The friend code. A blessing to some, a curse to the rest. Nintendo needs to get something different. Abolish FC's and find something else. MoHH2 was a great starting point. Nintendo, If you r that concerned w/parents piece of mind, GET BETTER PARENTAL CONTROLS!!!
