I like the idea, personally. I think it is a great way to let people know which clans they might be interested in, or get them interested in creating new ones. I'll try and think of some interesting things to put in such a thread to make it interesting even to those clans who aren't honored in that specific go round. And if anyone acts up, I'll just ban 'em.

Some off the top of my head...

An interview with the clan/clan leader, with me asking questions. This could be done over a long period in the thread, or as a more article like feature through PM.

A "look how bad we beat the mod!" contest, where I show up to one of your practices and you all destroy my lack of skill at this game. Results and discussion could be put in the thread, for all to comment on. (Or laugh at me, whatever works). Video capture equipment would be pretty awesome for this, if anyone has the tech.

i have no problem with friendly competition for best clan of the month. sounds like a good idea.
