General help threads and FAQ's are typically discouraged in forums. For one thing, the vast majority of the members who post repeat help threads never read the top layer of posts anyway, else they would see the thread index with a listing of previous threads to start with. (Reminds self to update thread index)

Most people have a question, and the first thing they do is create a new thread, no matter if a preexisting thread for that question exists in the forum, or even the first page. For example, look how many "How do I get a banner" questions pop up in forums, yet we have a sitewide FAQ linked right at the top of the page with all that information in it already. Adding another sticky thread or a link in the header is simply something else for these people to overlook in most cases.

Also, general threads will often become cluttered with different questions, making it difficult for those who actually do look through it to find what their question and any answers for it. Single threads tend to remain on a single topic or a few tangent ones that present the information someone is looking for in a quick and easy to read fashion.

I would like to be a Mod here. Or help with this forum. Its a bit inactive and i think i could try and help.

Is it allowed for 2 mods in a section? If so, please think about it.

Anyway, Co-mods are reserved for incredibly active forums where one mod is not enough. Not really necessary in this thread. However, regular members can do just as much for a forum as mods by bolstering the community, thinking of fun events and threads, being helpful, etc. My role is just to make sure things don't get out of hand and to keep the forum a fun place for everyone who joins.

So thanks for the offer, but right now, one mod is barely needed, much less two.

Well, i did try. Most people haven't even looked at them yet, and i spent alot of time on those.

I really like the concept of the sub forums for things, although we don't need it at all. Just the thought of having a sub-forum for clans, and then challenges sound really cool. I doubt this will happen due to inactivity, but i'm only wishing.
