re: Did this Game Live Up to Your Expectations? |

I never said the hackers would use faster running speed, I just said I'm sure they can change it online.
The further I'm getting into the single player, on level 6 atm, the more I dislike it and am not impressed. The story seems extremely lackluster to me. There are no cut scenes. And unlike what other people say, the voice acting seems terrible to me and sounds like they are sitting there reading straight from a page in a monotone voice. I'm still going to beat it but I just think they took a common story and made it more boring than usual. A read a review that talked about how there are no load times during the levels but instead HVS made hallways with very bland walls and nothing in them to disguise the loading, which I think it's true if you think about it. One thing I don't understand is how some people in this forum said the game gets really hard starting at the Jefferson Memorial in the 3rd level. I haven't had any difficulty at all while playing this so far and I'm on the normal difficulty, Guardian I think. Every once in a while I will get low on health but then I just take cover and am fine. ------------------- ![]() Wii: 2909-9932-6412-3857 The Conduit: 2707-9414-1620 Brawl: 3866-7691-9411

The last two levels are really tough, you'll die a lot in them especially in guarded+ difficulties.

quote LZ SchneiderI don't own this game, but I own other Wii titles and the majority of them (redsteel for one) are set in a night time setting. Makes it nearly impossible to play except for at night when theres no glare. Brightness can only go so far on a SDTV, its not like it makes the environments less dark and cloudy. -------------------

If every Wii game you play is dark, just turn up the brightness. It has to be your TV or just your standards of too dark/too light if you experience this problem with every game.

quote Dark Angel ExeOnce more, you don't have the game so your opinion has zero merit. Turning up the brightness DOES indeed help the darkness in TCON. You can't answer the topic at hand unless you've played the game, and THEN stated all of what you've said. Shadowbolt,
Next time learn to have low expectations for an FPS's campaign especially if it isn't one from a series... -Scourge94

quote Scourge94Why? So we should have lowly opinion of FPS and continue to be satisfied with unsatisfactory campaigns is what your saying? Makes no sense. We should be able to expect a solid campaign out of a game with as much hype as this. Although IMO it was a pretty good story you just had to get more involved in the plot than skimming the levels shooting people and listening to Ford's/Prometheus voice in between levels. It's just all up to your opinion. -------------------

Oh I had had a medium expetation with The Conduit's campaign and they were hyping it as the shooter game needed on wii and we needed the online and they didn't hype the campaign as much and most Shooters that aren't in a series with an online mode that is good dosen't have a very good campaign thats all. However this Dosen't mean HVS didn't blow me away when they released this all the subtle little messages and radio's were perfect I loved the Virginia Dare refrence as I live in Norht Carolina where it happened. The storyline is so in depth if you listen to all the Radio's and the messages when researched where pretty sweet too. I wasn't saying T-Con didn't have a good Campaign or HVS shouldn't have put timew intop the campaign but, MOST not ALL shooters like this rarely have such a good Campaign and this thread is about Expectations not about what you Wished it would have. Sorry for the mix up.

Scourge I know this may come as a shock to you, but people can in fact have an opinion that isn't the same as yours. I know, astounding isn't it?
This thread is about whether or not the game lived uo to your (Key word there) expectations. If it did for you that's fine, if it didn't for Shadowbolt that's also fine. You have no right to then proceed and tell him that he should have had lower expectations considering you have no idea what he was expecting, or what it was he didn't like about it. As for the topic yes it did. The Campaign was incredibly short but to be blunty honest several of the levels were the same thing repeated again and again, and there wasn't a great deal of variation among them aside from a few standout missions. Had it been that much longer it'd of gotten incredibly dull. In essence I'd argue it's length is actually somewhat of a saving grace in this case. As for the multiplayer considering it's on Nintendo's servers the lag isn't that bad (Still frustrating mind you) but overall it's got solid online with a variety of modes that's likely going to be fun for months to come. Overall the game did live up to my expectations. ------------------- Cursed Mountain Review

yes it lived up to my expectation. my expectation was just lagless online, and its lagless for me. so i cant really hope for more. i actually won a marathon matched before, thats how playable it is. im happy with it.
for the single player, i didnt really expect that much. im not a big fps fan, so i havent play that much fps to have any standard. the single player in this one is good enough for me. the graphic is pretty. the only critic would prob be the length. its pretty short. ------------------- ![]() Now Playing:Uncharted 2, Tekken 6, Fallout 3, Phantasy Star 0, Burnout Paradise, Nostalgia
