I can't believe how piss poor most of these entries are...

I know we're not allowed to submit entried using mspaint, but maybe we really should allow some of the TRUELY aweful talent to rear its ugly face.

You never know, we might be pleasently suprised!!

Not sure why I was so mean last night, maybe I'll be forgiven if I provide my own entry for people to laugh at.

I think I'm just going to leave my banner as is bbb... I think that it isn't very aesthetically pleasing and the competition is far better than mine soo such a small thing like that won't make the difference =\.

So erase the red within the the trust symbol, and create a focal point? What should the main focal be aimed at, the symbol or the ASE?

I'd say go for the symbol, for the only ASE people are able to find is that outdated, early model that's never used in the game =/

My other entry really sucked so i made a new one in gimp, bbb could you substitute my other banner with this one?

Frankly the structure of the whole thing needs re-working... You've got the "main" banner (with firey alien and srs Ford) which looks alright. Then you've got two elements that stick out from the banner - the ASE and the symbol - which is distracting. Then there's the off-centre "Conduit" logo and the tacked-on "Welcome" message. Too much stuff.

My advice: Get rid of the welcome message. Replace the Trust symbol with the ASE, and make that whole banner bigger. Then maybe put "The" above the banner and "ConduiT" below the banner, although I don't know if that would actually look good without seeing it. The goal is to make the logo look like part of the image rather than tacked-on. Maybe get a more recent picture of Ford, I dunno.

the skimmer render doesn't have wing tips. the concept art in which it originated cut off the tips. but i agree the conduit words do seem sorta sketchy =/

Then a different render would look way better. Having his legs sticking out of the banner creates a 3D effect, as though he's in front of it, but then it just looks weird to have his wings arbitrarily removed. It's inconsistent.
