A Little Confuesed |
|
I have a AMD LE-1640 processor in my PC, and i am trying to get dragon age to work.
Dragon age works fine up until about two hours into the game and it starts slowing down due to too many enemies n screen. so i went and used a website to tell me if my pc was up to the minimum requirements and it said that i needed a AMD X2 instead. now the specs page said my CPU was 2.7 GHz, but the only AMD X2 that will work with my mother board runs at 2.5 GHz. So isnt the LE-1640 faster then? | |

You CPU is an older model. Yes, the MHz might be clocked faster, however the newer CPU has new instructions that the game probably needs to perform efficiently. Possibly, you might want to review your video card as well since having a good video card takes off load work from your CPU. Right now it seems like your CPU is doing all the processing (including all the gaming instruction as well as the video rendering).

Cool, thanks for the reply. I did a little research, and it seems like because the amd x2 is dual core it will do a lot better. is this right?
