I've got this motherboard, the Asus P5B-E, currently running on a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz. I was interested in upgrading to a Core 2 Quad. Do you know for certain if it is compatible?

Everything I read about them say that they are quad-core compatible. Now, if you will need to update your BIOS or not, I don't know. ------------------- Enermax 460w PSU Asus P5B-E Core 2 Duo e6420 @ 3.0ghz 2GB DDR2 G.Skill @ DDR2 948mhz eVGA 8800GTS 320MB 2xSeagate Barracuda 250GB 7200.10 S-ATAII

I *think* it should work with the latest BIOS, however be careful of how high you clock it if you use a quad core so you don't draw more current than the board can supply quote Mnenos
