re: Asus P5B-E Review

For info my core2 duo 6300 is running at 3500 (7*500) with Vcore 1.425V, cooled with thermalright ultra-120 with a lone noctua fan (asus P5B deluxe).

re: Asus P5B-E Review

I've got this motherboard, the Asus P5B-E, currently running on a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz. I was interested in upgrading to a Core 2 Quad. Do you know for certain if it is compatible?

Thanks.

re: Asus P5B-E Review

Everything I read about them say that they are quad-core compatible. Now, if you will need to update your BIOS or not, I don't know.

re: Asus P5B-E Review

I *think* it should work with the latest BIOS, however be careful of how high you clock it if you use a quad core so you don't draw more current than the board can supply
