What are you playing as? Do you like it?

I've made a character in every class so far, but I've only really played with my mage past the intro.

I'm an Arcane Warrior and I use my mana for the most part to buff the hell out of myself and the party.

I use the Arcane Warrior tree to allow myself to use heavy armor and be strong with melee weapons. Then I have a shield, telekinetic weapons, death magic, and sometimes another skill (like rock skin).

I tank pretty well, since as I kill people I heal. Plus I usually have Wynne in my party.

I'm loving my character I'd recommend it to everyone.

How about you?

Playing as a human noble rogue, and yeah, I like playing her because she has plenty of skills and is a pretty good fighter too. Also the extra cash from robbing chests is nice. Planning to go duelist specialization as soon as I find the book or trainer.

I am playing an elf rogue. I played the mage on my first game but I like melee combat more in dragon age so I switched to the rogue.

4 characters

One blood mage/shapeshifter

One Dalish Templar/Champion specializing in dual-wielding

One Noble Templar/Champion using two-handed swords

And a City elf Duelist/Assassin

So far I like all of them but my Dalish is my favorite so far. I Really like the dual-wielding skills. The city elf is fun but I kind of feel that the Duelist tree should be stronger.
As for the mage, I'm not sure I'm happy with the spells I chose so I might redo him, though bear in mind he was my first character and I'm rarely happy with my first character in games like this.

Common Dwarf Warrior (Want to be Berzerker), forgot to choose a voice but what I got works.

I don't know how to get my specialization going yet...

Pretty fun, still learning as many moves and spells as they come up, read manual and am really intrigued buy the possible spell combos.

Also not sure if I have even been to the "camp" area, I don't think the first one I went to was it but I don't know that much yet.

I started with a Human Noble Warrior and plan to take him all the way through the game before I make another toon. I like him and use the shield to great effect.

Human Noble Warrior Berserker/Champion. Pretty bamf if I do say so. Also Curt you find the Duelist in a whore house in the city of Dereum*. Just have a high dexterity and she will teach you.

Is the only game we can register now Dragon Age Origins?

EDIT: Ahhh I just looked at my profile and it says I have access to the Helm of the Deep but I don't know where!

I've got a level 14 City Elf Templar, i've been meaning to get a berserker secondary, but i haven't got that second point yet to get it.

So im renting this tomorow to see how it is, and I wanto know what your opinion is on which class I should try first?

Warrior (damage dealing, not tank) what i play in most of my RPG's
Mage, something I rarely do but am interested in & would like to try
OR Rogue (the archer type) i wouldn't want to play as the backstabber and find archers pritty cool

so how are these for you guys and wats ur opinion? -thanks

I'm not sure how well a non-tanking warrior would do, because I play as a mage, but you would want to add to both strength and a few others. Mages are fun and you get various spells that seem to make a greater impact on your game. Archers seem boring to me but you can get fire bolts and arrows if that interests you.

Non-tank warriors do fine. My Dalish is non-tank and she's easily the best character I've made so far.
