Parasite Eve: Third Birthday Wish List ~ (What do you want to see in the game?) |
|
I'm sure we all have some wishes for what we want in the next Parasite Eve game.
Let's hear them! - This message was edited by Gothic Girl on Jan 23 2009. -------------------

Actually, SQUARE already satisfied me when they made Aya shoot Kyle Madigan. THAT alone was worth the wait.
Anyway, what I wish is three things : 1. A larger array of weapons. No, seriously. Did you know that most weapons Aya used in PE2 was about the same age as she was? Take that hand-held grenade launcher. It was made in 1973 (just one year younger than Aya was). And P03 ... a handgun which used actively during 1940s, 50s and 60s. And M-16 which the army have stopped using if not mistaken. 2. A larger and stronger enemies to shoot with. What use of weapons if you don't have the trill of the kill? 3. Aya resurrecting some of her old powers. Love to see Liberation power (power which she used in PE1) in 3D. You know, the one where she turn into an ultimate being and slash and dice her opponent?

Trust me ... that weapon is not worth its value and time spend on it.
Aya always misses, she always seems to be vurneable after each miss, and the damage done using shotgun shells is just about the same effect of that of a grenade launcher (100+).

I just want lots of Aya in it. Aya and her gun. And cutscenes!!! LOL.
Well. I remember her walking speed was a bit slow. Especially in the first game. I would like them to fix that. Otherwise I can't think of much to ask for or criticize. But I'm just happy to have a sequel!

Aya was slow in the first game?
Well, I don't know about that. I always thought that she was "fat" (NOOOOO!!!) and hard to move on the second game. Matter a fact, I could dodge easily in the first if compared to the 2nd. I think it has something to do with the camera angle. In the first game, the camera angle was bird-eye view, making Aya look smaller (and cuter) and ya can see the enemies easily. In the 2nd game, not sure why but the camera angle kept going toward her butt ( <.< love to meet the guy who came out with that angle. <.< ).

I meant between encounters. Her speed traversing the screen was sluggish.

Oh yeah, that I could agree. The encounters are slow and far inbetween. Something which SQUARE should fix.
Then again, if this could be Survival horror game, could it best to use random encounters or just regenerate enemies like wat they did in PE2? Frankly, random enemies are better. You could never know when an enemy could appear and it will always makes you on the edge all the time. Something like in Resident Evil 1 and 4.

Given Square Enix's arguably lacking scenarios recently, I want an engaging story, first and foremost.
It would be unfair of me to want it to constantly enthrall me, it's allowed to lack on occassion, but overall, I want it to at least be decent. I want to be able to care about the characters. I want to actually feel the story. ------------------- ![]() How to snag a lady: With sleepy drink.

Shuyu :
I want to be able to care about the characters. I want to actually feel the story. Ya and me both. I notice if compared to PE1, PE2 was lacking in the "feeling" department. They put some "text" message, saying that Aya was feeling down on herself (maybe didn't know where she stand) and seems to be wanting company (which was why she end up trust the donkey Madigan of all ppl) at the beginning of game and expect the gamers to put the pieces on their own. Kind of weak if you ask me. Hell ... I could do better fanfics than that. SQUARE should fix that and ensure that we have a strong plot and storyline, and that we could "feel" Aya (and other characters if may) althroughout the game like what they did with PE2. pyramidreaper : "fat"? you mean she moved like a fat dude, or she looked fat? Both actually. She looked fat (at least on her butt where the camera kept going to >.< ) and her movement was sluggish if compared to Aya in PE1. I could "dance" around bosses in PE1 but in PE2, I could be lucky if I could run away from damage on time (like with the Reactor boss at the last scenes).

she actually moved sluggish in the second game, but no she didn't look fat really. I mean, wtf I'd call that a nice butt that's all

That's wat I said ... that she moved a bit sluggish in the 2nd game.
Nice butt or not, I could prefer the camera angle focusing on the enemy in front of me, like the bird-eye-view in PE1.

Her butt was.
Seriously ... she's going after NMC and she wore tight leather shorts? She's a FBI agent for God's sake. Don't tell me that US Government couldn't afford jeans for their agents. And bird-eye view angle is the best for survival horror. Knowing where the enemies are or even have the ability to listen to sounds which enemies make (something which I use to survive in Resident Evil games) is beneficial. Camera angle in PE2 sucks big time.
