I think SQUARE is in dilemma. If they finish the PSP version first, the mobile phone users will get upset and if they finish the mobile phone game, the PSP users will get upset. They could probably working on simulatenous release for both system.

Maybe they are working on a single version, which then modified for PSP and phone later.

but wasn't it confirmed in the trailer where it says in the end "for PSP"? or was that just some bogus...

Nope, one game but modified into two versions - mobile and PSP. They could likely to try and release at the same time to satisify both users (of the system).

This is a disadvantage of being developer for multi-platform games - you have to satisfy everyone.

I want newer environments, weapons.
and a confirmed NA release date.

Auto-Recovering MP or Item-recovering MP? Which ya guys prefer?

In PE1, Aya's MP (known as Parasite Energy or PE for short) recovers over a time after she uses them. Ya can even modify yer armour to boost PE recover.

However, in PE2, Aya can only recover her MP through items or by learning a new power.

So, which one ya guys prefer? I choose the Auto-recover method cos I find the item-recovering methods to be annoying. Too much like FF games.

that depends.. we still don't know how the gameplay will be. sometimes recovering items are just unnecessary annoying waste of play time, sometimes they're fun.

in both PS1 PE games it was done good, those games were just different from each other.

Both games were so different, it is like they are totally different game altogether. PE1 was based on the Japanese movie and the novel and they stick to it. PE2 seems to be just another clone of Resident Evil games (plus special powers).

And realistically, auto-recovering the MP is better choice. Item-recovering is just waste of time.

Matter a fact, if Aya were to auto-recover in PE2, she could be unstoppable. All one need to do is just keep her in a safe place (where there is no NMC) till she recovers her MP and let her loose in a group of MP, then go back to rest.

yeah, the second game was like that coz it was more like RE.

anyway what I actually hope this game will have is some weapon/armor customization system. I will be dissappointed if there is none.

In PE2, I was disappointed too when they force us to rely on armour and attachments which has certain features, instead of allowing us to customize it on our own. It was fun to be able to collect enough items and customize it.

It will be more fun if they could allow us to have 100% control over wat skills we could like to have on our weapons and armour, like the customization in Vagrant Story and FFX.

VS was pretty awesome, they really put lots of effort into it's system.

The fun part about Vagrant Story (at least to me) is how they allow us to take a weapon apart, put aside those parts and when we found a good weapon, we take those parts and put it together to make even better weapons. That was awesome.

That's how a fantasy game should be like. 100% customization on the hands of the players.

Hell, I bet it could be more challenging and fun if in future games, there are no BP stores. Instead, Aya have to fight to find parts, or salvage it from other weapons (which cannot be used), or find parts in weapon shops and things like that, then put them together to make her own set of weapons.

Couldn't that be cool? A grenada gun which can freeze the target for few seconds, allowing Aya to whack it like nobody's business, or weapon that shoot poison, or inflict fire damage.

I liked how some stuff was better against certain "races"/types of enemies. it was also cool how you could combine them, say humans and demons attributes for the weapon and the such. I had some sword that I enchanced all the time and used it exclusively against those two types. same with beasts and dragons if I remember correctly..

man, I wish this game would have something like that, doubt it since it's for PSP.
