They started SQUARE Pictures, but that didn't work out very well. Hey ... I'm saying that Spirit Within was the fault here ... I just saying that they should not have tried to compete with Hollywood and should have stick with entertaining Asian fans (their main supports).

Maybe they are trying to build back what they have lost in the past few years. In a way they are most familiar with - rolling out of games by the bus load.

FF7 came out the same time as PE1 also, and now there is at least 3 games which was made from that franchise. It is possible that SQUARE will not allow good games to fade away.

Recently, I heard that they going to create a sequel to FF4 also.

the game's pretty bad tbh. the same old FF IV from SNES with lots of grinding.

it's not like you need to play a demo of it to figure out the gameplay. sorry, but I can't bring myself to believe this game is worth even running it once just because it's plot is a sequel to an admirable 20 years old game. it's very bad even for 2005 year cell phones. if I would want to play old school FF titles I could always do that on a Super Famicom emulator.
