Status Update |
![]() At TGS, Nomura again had a chat with Famitsu, the main focus being on Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. However, he also shared a bit on The 3rd Birthday. He assured that the game is still in development, though it's being overshadowed by the much more popular titles Square Enix is currently working on, but that they are aiming for a 2010 release. Gosh. It's like Final Fantasy XIII all over again. ![]() Dear Square Enix, stop announcing your games years in advance, thanks. Love, Shuyu. At this rate, it probably won't be until 2016. Perhaps you left a stroke off that 0?

re: Status Update |
quote pyramidreaperThere was a little teaser at TGS, it just hasn't been skillfully recorded and leaked. But it was a very rough job, a lot of what appeared in the battle screens isn't final and once they clear up their shit, they'll start giving it a bit more attention. ------------------- ![]() How to snag a lady: With sleepy drink.

quoteknowing SE, it will probably take them one more year to finish that, not to mention the quality assurance.

2010? Is this a rough guess or are they certain that they could come out with the game by this time?
So far, there are promises but not too many have been delivered. Kinda strecthing the fans' patience.

2010 also the time FF13 supposed to be released for PS3. Probably Versus 13 also. Maybe they wanted to release several titles for various consoles at one go, boasting the sales and revenue.

I wouldn't be surprised if this came before Versus. FFXIII is coming out in December and Birth By Sleep is coming out at the beginning of January, but everything else is probably going to land in the next financial year anyway.
I'd say that at the moment, it's really more of a "when it gets finished" thing. Later on, it'll probably be more along the lines of maximising profits - the game probably won't do it on its own, so things like Agito and Versus are probably needed to help. ------------------- ![]() How to snag a lady: With sleepy drink.

anyway no matter how you look at it, they take way too much time developing a PSP game.. or they probably give REALLY little of a shit about this title xD.

quote pyramidreaperRelative to the other titles they have going, no. They probably don't. Translation from the most recent Famitsu: quote ------------------- ![]() How to snag a lady: With sleepy drink.

quote Shuyuno, I haven't seen it posted anywhere. I've read that there was some very brief battle concept footage and that it looked kinda similar to RE4, with an over the shoulder camera. quote Shuyuoh, as if there's some Xenogears like script in this game

re: Status Update |
quote pyramidreaperThe person who did the translation prefaced it with saying that they're not following the game and they didn't know what was new and what wasn't. I actually didn't even notice it said that, I was too busy contemplating the club... And how Aya does lines off a hot waitresses belly... Please, Square Enix. ------------------- ![]() How to snag a lady: With sleepy drink.

re: Status Update |
quote Matt Addisonuh oh ... the fear of FFX-2 resurfaced. I still remember buying FFX-2, thinking it could be something like FFX (which I loved, by the way) and I saw Yuna, getting undress in front of thousands of ppl (and on live air) and that killed my interest completely. I really afraid SQUARE gonna pull another stunt like that with PE. Aya Brea supposed to be tough-as-a-nail character. Last thing SQUARE should do is make her into another Yuna. And the clip on Aya wearing the wedding dress already making me think that this gonna be another X-2.
