For all you guys that don't get what I'm talkin' about, here it is. Make sure you have at least 4 maxed out generals
on character select and a buddy to help ya out. You and your buddy become two of the maxed out generals and have both you and your buddy have your officer bodyguards as other maxed character. Go through any battle or stage and when you and your buddy get to the boss of the stage, put the beat down on Him with All FOUR GENERALS!!!!

If you guys still didn't get that, I'll give you an example:
Battle at He Fei: Wu Side
Player One: Lui Bei
Officer Bodyguard: Zhuge Liang
Player Two: Guan Yu
Officer Bodyguard: Zhang Fei
Boss of Level: Cao Cao
Situation: Make these Shu Generals put the Beatdown on Cao Cao.

No need for 4 generals, when I play as Lu Bu and have a maxed out Guan Yu as my bodyguard, we can tear throuh almost anyone on hard mode and most people on very hard mode.

True that Guan Yu and Lu Bu make a formidable team, but even they have chances of being defeated in battle. Anyway, my method is for fun and at the same time, for torture meant for the enemy general. Heh heh.

I use Guan Yu as my bodyguard because his 4th weapon gives him health and defence, so he lasts much longer.

For me and my friend, we like to use Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang as bodyguards for firing support cuz they don't get in the way that much.

I like my bodyguards to be on the mix of things and come out of it alive. Not something you can do on the harder difficulies with normal bodyguards.

Oh I didn’t think about that for bodyguards I just usually have my Amazon ladies kick A$$

Well in this version of the game, Officer bodyguards are extremely powerful. If you have a maxed out Guan Yu or Lu Bu with their 4th weapon, Tiger amulet, Tortoise amulet, Peacock Urn and Wind Scroll, as your bodyguard, then they are very powerful and able to last long times even on the harder difficulties. Of course, the Amazons's do kick ass as well.

Yea, that's mostly true In order for bodyguards to survive, you usually have to save their asses! But, when you take a powerful general as your bodyguards like I said, they can hold their own on a lot of maps, and if you fight together, then some serious ass whooping's go your enemies way.

I just found out what you mean . . . I took Da Qiao with Zhang He to make sure I don't get whooped up on and she rocked as a bodyguard plus I have the bodyguard manual so she's even better

can you only take one or can you raise the amount you can bring with you.

See? You can only take one officer as your bodyguard. No more. If you could take more, you would be unstoppable. But one is enough dontcha think?

I usually just use Zhou Yu as my bodyguard because hes my strongest and he kicks ass.
