Assignments

I have just beaten the game and have beaten all the assignments(not with great scores on all) and I was wondering if anyone knew how to unlock more?

I haven't beaten Shadow Mode yet though, perhaps this unlocks them? Or maybe onikage?

re: Assignments

You get more assignments for getting better grades on all the missions, from what I've seen.

re: Assignments

Yeah I discovered this shortly after I posted the question because I didn't notice when I was getting missions at the end of missions(also the first time around I wasn't getting too good of scores). But thanks anyway.

re: Assignments

So roughly how long did it take you guys to complete the game then? I'm guessing that as you said the items are found on the levels rather than rewarded for high scores that would give it a fair amount of replay value...

re: Assignments

Well when I first got it I played it non stop which took me about 3 days but this game has tremendous replay value with a mixture of replaying the levels to get better scores, shadow mode of every level(From what I've seen shadow mode is how you get the super secret items) , the 50 (thats right I said 50) bonus misiions, and getting the right items for the job.

Also just trying to find all the different ways to beat any given level is fun too. I personally think its one of the best games out there for replay value. Which is why I can forgive it for being a kind of short story mode.

re: Assignments

Replay value is v good news in this cashstrapped time! I had heard about the 50 bonus missions, have you completed them all yet and is every one of the 50 graded? As you said, after unlocking/completing them all it would be cool to max out the grades for each one.

What's Shadow mode then? If it's a significant spoiler then dont tell me

Starting to get stoked for this game!

re: Assignments

Shadow mode is a more difficult version of all the story missions, changing routes, number of enemies, etc.

re: Assignments

That really does sound good. What are the graphics like then? I realise it's not a PS3/360 game and I know the Tenchu games have never been that shiny, but what other 3D Wii game would you compare it too graphically?

re: Assignments

They get the job done. I thing the environments are rendered very well for a Wii game, but the character models for the enemies are kind of clunky.

re: Assignments

I was rather impressed by the graphics actually. Yes there were a few weird looking character models like the Ronin but I can forgive it when I see Rikimaru and the other nice looking ones like the armored samurai. They look sweet. The environments are pretty good too. They set the tone well.

But I really wanted to ask about another feature I unlocked. After beating a certain number of assignments it told me "Rikimaru and Ayame have learned the Ancient Hissatsu"

I played a few levels and tried most of the kills but didn't see a difference.
