SO i created this huge appartmet, 14 of em in the same lot. I created this sim with romance aspirations, moved in and it played just fine. Then i went on a dream date, got my flowers and i could move those just fine too. Then the guy drops by and gives me a 44" telivision. Cool huh? well the problem is, i can't move it! He put it one tile removed from my door and now it's in the commen area. Not that i mind, i don't really have the space to put it inside anyway, but the darn thing is one space removed from my door and it's causing trafic jamms. Yeah yeah i know there's a move cheat. But since this is the place the creative sims modders hang out i just thought i put this idea out there and maybe someone will run with it. Can you put the dream date gifts in a giftbox? You know like the one from humble with the pc in it? That way i'd come out in the inventory and you can put it in the house, or sell it.

a few people have said that you can use the hand tool in the inventory to move things. but i didnt have any luck. if it is in the common area forget about it.
i even tried move_objects on but i didnt get that to work either. someone gave me a bear chair, and a karaoke machine...both are stuck out and i moved so i never got them. | |

its really stupid cuz once u move someone in u cant go in to the lot to jst edit it! grr! o and how do u build an apartment? mine just show up as houses

while your building the apartment open the cheat box and type in
changelotzoning apartmentbase and hit enter. then it will be a apartment lot. the next time you go into that lot it will have the apartment mailbox.  | |

Yea the dream date things are yet another glitch that they will have to fix with the patch.
I think i am going to uininstall and reinstall up to FT and wait to add AL back later when they get to the final patch because as much as they have to fix in this borked mess they will surely release at least 2 or 3 patches.
