How do I enter cheats in the game

with a keybord i suppose...
no seriously just type them while playing... just type idkfa and ull be much happier.

The other cheats are:
iddqd
idfa
idbeholda
idbeholdl
idbeholds
idbeholdb
idbeholdr
iddt in map
iddt in map

And idclev## with the level you'd like to warp to in place of the "#"'s.


Also, if you type "iddemon" you can play as a cyberdemon. Sorry, not really.

I haven't been much of a cheater these days.(*bleep*ing whimps)But hey, what the hell, I'll do that and I'll actually type in the effects of what they do.

iddqd=God mode. Restores health to 100% and makes you invulerable to everything except for the following...
(1)Teleport frags(when another player or monster class teleports onto you)

(2)The end room of E:1 M:8(well actually it turns god mode off whenever you go to there.One time I cleared that room out, but the floor is kind of like poison)

IDFA=Happy ammo.200% Armor and full weapons and ammo.(no backpack full of ammo included)

IDKFA=very happy ammo.Just like the previous cheat plus all skull keys.

IDSPISPOPD=No clipping.Allows you to walk through walls,up huge ledges, and into the "middle of nowhere".Ahh, who can resist that after image effect of that place.

IDCHOPPERS=Gives you the chainsaw.

IDBEHOLD=then press the following key to get a powerup.
L=light amplification goggles
V=temporary invulnerability(this invulnerability is not overridden by E1M8)
I=partial invisibility
S=berserk punch.
A=all map
R=radiation suit

IDCLEVxy=Level warp.X refers to the episode number. and Y refers to the map number of that episode.For example, to get to episode 3 level 6, type in "IDCLEV36"

IDMUSxy=Same as the level warp cheat except it changes the to the music number of that level.So to hear the music to episode 1 level 8, type in "IDMUS18"
Also there are idmus 41,42,43,44 and 45.
I don't know which one's which, but these are the title screen music, the level completion music, the episode completion music, and that one song that it plays when you see that bunnie's head on the pike.

IDDT=ALLMAP

First time-shows all linedefs(walls) and their type(note) unlike the natural allmap, walls that you haven't looked at will not appear as gray.

Second time-shows all linedefs and THINGS, these include torches, weapons, monsters and you,etc.

third time-resets to regular automap

IDMYPOS: displays your current Position in hexedecimal for a while on the top of the screen (very hard to read!)

ahh, i remember my first nightmare game too, my hands were trembling, my pupils were dialated. or was that my first joint? lol

anyway, if your going to be playing on nightmare don't bother with these cheats, they won't work. also, DOOM can't be too easy, if anything, the levels they come with are too easy. People seem to neglect the fact that DOOM can have maps built for it.

PS: people need to start typing in DOOM in all caps from now on, that's how it looks on the title screen.

just go and press the button under esc and u got the console and then just type the cheat
