Cheers, walnuts, I agree wholeheartedly that Gamba and Urawa have the best talent...but I still expect Kashima to win the league because they don't have the mental letdowns that the other two big clubs have. They just grind out result after result.
No one can match Gamba's firepower except for Frontale on their best day though. Endo is an absolute machine.

Frontale are just lethal on their day, perhaps an Aston Villa type of side. I know they recently dominated the Central Coast Mariners in the recent ACL group stage 5-0, they were just devastating.
I would like to thank you for the effort you have put into this. It is simply astonishing, and it is much appreciated by everyone who will play this for hours on end ------------------- ![]()

One question: is it set that Japanese players like Nakamura, Inamoto, etc, will be open to moves back to Japan or is it still South Korea in there eyes, if you know what I mean?

I haven't tested all of the permutations but geographically its all Japan to them, the clubs are all based in Japanese cities and the foreigner restriction works properly (there's no loophole where Koreans aren't foreign) so I would have to imagine that Inamoto or Nakamura will give you a home nation discount. Especially at the end of their careers.
Nakamura I've tested in particular and he's set to be VERY open to a move back to Yokohama. Not sure about the rest of Japan but if you find out, let everyone know since overseas Japanese national team players will be very attractive transfer targets. Also, while we're talking about old Japanese players, I put something of an Easter egg in the database. He's not difficult to find so I'm sure that a lot of you will.

It will be great having him in it. Is he unattached or have set him at a random club?

Thanks for the head's up, jj, and I PM'ed you about the rest of your questions. Awfully impressive guessing it without the database.

It's 9.0.1 isn't it? And what way have the finances been set?

I'm fairly certain that its on 9.0.2 but I started this project so long ago that I can't remember precisely.
And the finances are set to try to capture the spirit of the Japanese salary cap as best as possible, squad wages are fairly low as is the amount that your board will give you. I'm not exactly certain how this works on a Mac, to be honest. Hopefully someone else here can give you a hand with that, bonnie. Also, don't forget to keep checking the front page for more exciting updates to the guide. This message was edited by constantplanck on May 22 2009.

Just put them in the User/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager/graphics folder and then make sure that your in-game preferences are set to reload skin cache on confirm.
I'm still not sure why it doesn't work on the 9.0.1 patch though. Then again, upgrading to 9.0.3 makes the game play much smoother anyway so there's no better time than now. As for the player stats, I watch the occasional J-League match and I follow it pretty closely so I know more or less what player types all of the major players are. From there I just fit them in so that the league standard was low Championsip to low Prem which was probably extremely generous on my part.
