Falkirk Team Discussion Thread |
![]() Falkirk, founded in 1876, are based in the Scottish Premier League but aren't known to be one of the well known teams within the league. Falkirk, nicknamed The Bairns, are based at 'The Falkirk Stadium' and can constantly attract crowds around 8000 each week which is there maximum capacity. They don't get huge amounts of cash so success will be key if you get more money for transfers. I am currently starting my 5th season in charge of the club and I am now building a strong squad to help me push on. By struggling with my squad the 1st season, I got knocked out of the Europa League by Rosenberg in the qualifying rounds. I struggled the 1st season and survived on the final day of the season. Struggling for cash, I got a few loans and frees to help me for my 2nd season. I finished 6th and just missed out on the Europa League. In my 3rd season, which I would call my best season so far, I finished 3rd behind the 2 old firm clubs and qualified for the Europa League. 4th season, I struggled in the league and finished in 6th but I bagged my 1st trophy (CIS Cup against aberdeen) and got to the 1st knockout round of the Europa League being knocked out over 2 legs against Fiorentina even though I drew 1-1 at home to them.

Looks like you're doing quite good. I might have a go as Falkirk on FM10. They have a few quality players. Too bad they lost Packie Cregg ,though.

I've always been tempted to start in the scottish league. I don't think i will start as Falkirk though.
But your doing great, some good signings as the seasons went on. Bayo was a good move Yellow. -------------------

Danny your balance must be great because you do what i do and just get players for free when small teams, i never pay big amounts

I hope Falkirk won
In my 1st season, my transfer budget was less than a million so not much 2 work with but then I sold my best player for 2M which helped a lot! My balance is going up, at the moment my balance is £8.74M with a profit of £2.86M. I would've had the signing of my career so far if he didn't fail at getting a work permit

yeahh
I should really look into signing youngsters due to having to play at least 3 under 21s other than our GK and I have to use some from my reserves and U18s who aren't good enough
