FM2009 Coach Calculator |
|
Evening all.
Just a heads up that I've made a Coach Calculator, thought some of you might be interested. It's taken 3 days but it's here, pretty much as I envisioned it lacking a feature or two that may get added in the next couple of weeks. Seems to be working, although it is in Beta stage so let me know if there's any problems. Feel free to link to it on other sites, the more exposure the better :checkit: When FM2010 comes out if the formula for the coaches is released I'll probably update the formula and add a new post linking to the new version. Cheers.

Wow this is great well done on making
I shall add it to the thread index now Kev - They changed the 7 star training thing to a formulae in the last official patch and with this you can input a coaches stats and find out how many stars he will provide in training. Once again well done ------------------- ![]() A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water

re: FM2009 Coach Calculator |

i have a couple of questions:
i am putting 14 in attacking and 13 in defending. and 10 in determination, level of discipline and motivating. here are the results: "Best Suited as a Defensive Coach" why is he best suited as a defensive coach if he has higher attributes in attacking??? Defending Coach: <5 194 280 320 360 Attacking Coach: <5 144 210 240 270 Also why do the attacking attributes have lower standards for a coach? and id he actually has higher attacking attributes how can he have 144 points in attacking but 194 in defending??? -------------------

Cheers for the kind comments.
quote Vangelis21Hi Vangelis, interesting questions. I may add a Q&A into the Coach Calc at the bottom, although I'll think about it. Regarding your questions: To make a good attacking coach, FM uses this formula: 'att * 6 + tac * 3 + ddm * 2'. That's attacking * 6, tactical * 3 and determination, discipline and motivation * 2. For example, in your example it would be: Attacking, 14 * 6 = 84 Tactical, 0 * 3 = 0 Determination, 10 + Discipline, 10 + Motivation, 10 = 30 * 2 = 60 84+60 = 144. With the defensive side, Defending is taken to account more so than attacking in the attacking coach. The formula for that is: 'def * 8 + (tac + ddm) * 3' In your example, it comes to 194. Now, the way I've made it judge which the coach is better at is taking the score and dividing is by the total possible points when you have 20 for everything (in the attacking case that's 300, in defensive that's 400). So in this example, you've got Attacking being 144 out of a possible 300 (144/300), whilst Attacking is on 194 out of 400 (194/400). 144/300 is 0.48, whilst 194/400 is 0.485, so he's slightly better at training Defensively. Marginal, probably wont have any effect, but if you had to choose between the two I'd go for Defensive. Hope that helps, anymore questions just ask, I'll reply when I can. The formula's are widely accessible and accepted, and from what I've seen are accurate every time

i have to say one thing. with the formulasthat some people have shown on the forums it is very easy to calculate how good a coach will be as all the formulas have only additions and multiplications.
BUT your calculator make things even better AND it is not a cheating because it is something you could do on your own. well done. nice gift to the community -------------------

Great one. I was thinking how handy a tool like that would be a while ago, good to see it's finally available.
I'll put it to good use right now for my Aris side, in fact. ------------------- quote AlexC ![]()
