Google Earth on Voodoo5 |
|
Anyone know how to get Google Earth running on Voodoo5 with Windows 2000? I tried and it looks and runs fine, but when I zoom in closer, it starts a "kaleidoscope effect". Thanks.

DirectX 8.1 or OpenGL. OpenGL is even worse!

i would highly suggest buying a new videocard. Any Geforce4mx will do, you probably can pick one up for about 20 bucks. It will greatly improve your speeds. ------------------- http://www.loudandfrench.com

This isn't my main rig. I have one with a Radeon 9800pro. The Voodoo5 is in a secondary which I may eventually give away.

yeah I know the GeForce4mx is basically a rewrapped GeForce 2 GTS but still, since it actually has driver support it runs faster than the Voodoo in several applications. ------------------- http://www.loudandfrench.com
