	On the title page it says Brisingr or The seven oaths of eragon shadeslayer and saphira blaksuha(Or something of that nature.) I believe that Chris decided to put that as to use as a spoiler to the 4th book where eragon has to make 7 oaths and then do something after going to the rock of kuthian. ------------------- I'm new to this. 	Eragon and Saphira have made a lot of promises/oaths to people. Spoiler: Just a rabble or what might be the truth? They could be the oaths to the elves, Varden, dwarves and getting justice for his "so called Uncle". -------------------

	In Eragon and Eldest, Eragon and Saphira (Bjartskular, btw) have made seven promises to varying people. 	First of all, I gave you the Seven Oath and they were all fulfilled in this book. Secondly, that is the subtitle of the book. Or the rest of the title, whatever, doesn't matter. In any case it's Brisingr or The Seven Oaths of Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Bjartskular, so it is definitely this book and not a spoiler. And lastly, you have a brain, please use it. -------------------

Spoiler: Eragon knew nothing of Brightsteel until later therefor not an Oath! I do not believe that was an oath. It was a clue from the werecat that said "If you find yourself without a weapon look under the manora tree". After becoming swordless that is exactly where Eragon and Saphira explored during their visit to Oromis and Glaedr. -------------------
