 Topic: how do I beat Vexen in Twilight Town?

I'm having trouble beating Vexen I can get him down to his second to last bar then he hits me with his ice sword.

Use cards that have 0 to break it. Use like 0-9-9 card numbers, NOT stocked. I used all strong cards. Just do that. If you die, try again.

Fill your deck with at least 5 0 keys (put them at the end), 3-4 cures, 3 fires, and as many 9 keys as you can. 1 6-9 potion of any size would b very good 2 have. wail away on him with the 9s and firaga/fira/fire, NEVER use sleights. only use the 0s when he uses a sleight. u should b fine.

I'm pretty sure Zantheria2 4 got past that. Otherwise the user would have posted that he hasn't got past him yet.

I've defeated vexen with the use of my sleights particularly blitz, sonic blade and lethal flame. when vexen uses his slide break, just jump and glide when he strikes his first two attacks then dodge roll his last strike. that's how I managed to defeat vexen.

Yea, I never expected that Vexen could make his shield into a sword. He has a very unique weapon indeed.
