	there are 3 ways in the river, one path going to arakatora, the other one to the swamps and the last one to a bridge with a chest and a dead end. go to the 3rd one.

	have you talked to the woman by the fountain? you just walk around her a bit each time moving farther away then when you reach the point it will go into that movie screen thing if you haven't then you will never and i mean never be able to find him.
