Attention! Information about XWIS and Strike-Team

XWIS is the server that runs Command & Conquer games instead of Westwood. It has an organized system, including a site to report cheaters and promote fair play, many admins and mods to keep it up and running, and a bot to monitor the lobbies.

Strike-Team is the community that runs XWIS. See my sig for links. Strike-team.net is a website where you can report cheaters, ask for help to your problems, learn tips and tricks and acquire training, post screenshots to prove fair play, or just chat about anything. It is a very active forum and probably THE most active C&C website.

Please consider joining this website and learning more. It will improve your gameplay and enjoyment of the game.

Other things to consider: the admins that run this game are NOT paid at all, they do what they do out of love for the game and their desire to keep the game alive as long as possible. You have to admit, for being an eight year old game, Red Alert 2 is pretty alive, with over 600 total players. And that is not even including the other games that XWIS supports, such as Yuri's Revenge, Tiberian Sun, Renegade, and more.

Anyway, if you do decide to join this website, then remember that the admins are not perfect, but they try their best and do not appreciate being flamed/insulted/disappreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

re: Attention! Information about XWIS and Strike-Team

If you are banned, then don't buy new serials, as it won't allow you to get on. Hopefully the ban is not a permanent one, so you can just wait it out. Any more questions can be addressed at www.strike-team.net/forums.

It might be something to do with the Registries.
Most, if not all P.C games create registries that store account information, such as password details, login etc etc.

If you bough the computer of someone who has been banned and if you try to use there accounts then that could be the problem.
However, if you have made a new account and have a new Serial-Key then I really don't see what the problem is.

Although,
i'd bet that the oh so lovely (sarcasm)XWIS 'people' have banned him via I.P. If you live in the same house and share the same connection, then you would be banned as well.
I have encountered this frustration on C&C Renegade and RA2.

----------------------------
To 'XWIS People'.
If I can say this without starting an all out war among users.

I have had one question for you 'XWIS people' for a long time.
If you aren't paid, and EA says (and I quote) "EA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE POLICIES OF XWIS" and Westwood went under ages ago, who the hell are you, and who the hell gave you the right to mess with RA2 Online!?

I mean that XWIS Admin Bot that 'monitors the lobbis' is rubbish, to say the least. It has no sense of judgment, bans people without warning, it doesn't even tell you what you CAN and CAN'T say, and is just generally a reall pain in the arse for everyone.
I am just so angry at you people, ... ah god, that's all I can say before I go 'to far'!

re: Attention! Information about XWIS and Strike-Team

I seriously hate these XWIS people.
They are believe that there doing so much good, but in the real world there killing RA2's online spirit with these ridiculously over restrictive automated bots.

Every game needs some form of rules, something that the users must adhear to. But these are just to restrictive. I bet at least half of the people who went on RA2 online don't anymore just because of the 'Lobby bots'.

I mean do these morons have any idea how frustrating it is to have some stupid automated scripted bot to tell you what you can and can't do, then start banning you!?
If I smoked a ciqarette everytime I considered re-installing RA2 to go online, and don't because I remember that there's some POS bot on the end of the line that will just ban me within 40 minutes of going online. I'd be dead!

And it's not just that you lot have the nerve to set something up like that on one of Westwoods most successful games but you don't even reveal yourselvs to us!
I mean who the *bleep* are you!? Who the hell gave you the power to change RA2 Online!?

Westwood's gone.
EA denies anything to do with 'XWIS' although they bought Westwood and own all the rights to it's games!

So who the hell are you!?

**Future Prediction**
They will not answer me because there to cowardly to confront me, don't care about my post because i'm just one person and can't change anything or are just to arrogant to realise that they are destroying RA2!
